But it's also bad diplomacy. If they wanted Kavala so much,he could just deport him. It's the same thing again and again. Erdogan jails someone,they insist he releases him,he refuses,they threaten with economic sanctions,he releases him. This time,it's more serious. Of course ambassadors can be replaced,but it's a silly move anyway.

Its not external meddling. Turkey is member in the European Court, which demanded that this guy is let out of prison. Turkey signed contracts to accept those rulings. So its totally in those nations interest to remind Turkey to its obligations.

But the funny thing is, by his rant, Erdo announced to cut diplomatic relations with entire EU, US and Canada. He cut all trade and travel with the EU, which would follow automaticly, since no EU citizen travels to a country where there is no diplomatic relations with. He cut trade with Turkeys biggest trade partner down to zero.

Guess someone told him, so now he stays silent.

Erdogan and Turkey don't require lecturing from an army of European ambassadors. Turkey belongs to Turks and no one else. If the law was broken Turkey is going to act.

This is about something else. The established order wants Erdogan gone. What you guys really want is bootlickers who say yes sir all day long. That won't happen bud.

You should learn your lessons. The days of Western hegemony are coming to an abrupt end. Just have a good look at Afghanistan and the evolving situation with China, Russia etc. The Vietnamese have chosen to be in US/Western camp. You benefit economically, but you will be used against China. Nevertheless stop the blatant cheerleading. It is really pathetic and cringeworthy.
