England VS NZ

We are out because of our net run rate and because of our poor performance against west indies.i think getting out is much better than humiliation in semi final or final.pakistan deserves 5th spot and they should play well against bangladesh.it is all over for us.we need lots of changes.domestic players should be selected and we need changes in pcb management.basically a complete overhaul is necessary.it was our best chance to win world cup because we have history of playing well under English conditions but opportunity lost.very sad day for pakistan cricket fans but we should remain positive.a change is necessary.

Best of luck to australia.i supported Australia in 2015 and Clarke proved to be a wise captain.i believe Australia can do it again.jason behrendorff is a fantastic bowler.they can do it again.

Not bad for us, Qualifying into Semis and Winning by cheating is much worse, humilating and disgusting, than not qualify and be at top 5, much humble and morally superior position overall . Pakistan or Bangladesh, showed alot of resilience and fair play...infact all teams except India or England.

Its just goes wrong in conscience mind that you cheated and won...thats what everyone thinks in its mind. You Won by cheating.

Lets just move on.

So there is a lot of speculation of Pakistani members here that India intentionally lost to England. One aspect they struggle to understand is the dynamics of the pitch. When the Sun is out and pitch is drying out, it becomes extremely difficult to score down the final overs. India- England match was no different, and over that England had done their homework and did not give either Jadhav or Dhoni the deliveries where they could score. Deteriorating pitch's effect with the old ball was also a standout in both final overs of the Indian innings vs Bangladesh and Bangladesh's chase. Cutters and slower deliveries in good line and length made it difficult to score.

Chasing in conditions where you have lost wickets is not easy, if Dhoni had thrown the kitchen sink even at last two overs, there was a good possibility that we could have lost all of the wickets given our extremely weak tail , and given how close the game with Bangladesh was, If india lost to both, BD, and SL, it would have been crucial to ensuring we scored as much as we could to keep a healthy NRR in all of the defeats provided we would be tied at points with other teams. M.S Dhoni did what he felt he could achieve, hold wickets and get as close as they could. Now as far as retired cricketers who are commenting on Dhoni, are not assessing his batting based on the conditions, rather than on his previous exploits. Those wickets were different, so was the opposition. The simple fact remains England outplayed India, and the result was not favorable to keep Pakistan in contention doesn't mean that Indian team did that on purpose. Facing Pakistan in the Semi or the finals would be much more preferred than facing England or Australia, both of which are qualitatively better sides.

Good Luck to the top 4 teams -
Pakistanion west indies lay k baith gaya humein itna bura kaisay hara dia tha unhon nay.. Run rate ki ma behan aik pehlay match say hi ho gai thi, Damnnnnnnnn it.

What India did was NOT match fixing or somehow cheating. It is standard procedure in such a scenario to engineer a preferred outcome. We would do the same and have done at times. Many teams have done this in many sports.

Yes I agree that they put their loathing of pk ahead of all other considerations when they decided to pursue a policy to eliminate Pak by all means necessary.

Someone mentioned that having Pak in the semi final mix would make it easier for india as they would be likely to win if we met again and that this fact in itself is some sort of circumstantial evidence that India did not engineer the result to eliminate pak - it is true that Pak would be an easier proposition than Eng on the basis of current form and ability, however the 10% risk of losing to Pak is UNTENABLE for India, and the reality is that they would rather have England in the mix than the less adept Pakistani team because the 50% risk of loss to England is preferable to the 10% risk of loss to Pakistan. India were stung badly in CT final 2017 and wouldn't want to risk a repeat, hence they did what they did.

I don't see it as cheating at all.

Yes, they are fully entitled to lose the match if they want to. Instead, Pakistan should do better next time, so they wouldn't be in a similar position like now.

Thats sum up all, India, Virat Kholi & Dhoni are shit scared to the core towards Pakistanis, Indians has accepted for a fact to bow thier heads down in front of Pakistan if they reach Semis or Finals.

Indian Cricket Team players indeed were stung badly at the loss of ICC Champions Trophy Final to Pakistan and it cuts them like spears till today and hence all this engineered matches.

How do you explain, for the lack of better words, the massive Drubbing of Pakistan at the hands of the same Virat Kohli and Dhoni, this WC? India lost by less than half of the margin to England comared to that Pakistan lost to India. Was that match engineered too?

I like Pakistani Cricket team and respect their capabilities, but motormouths like you derive responses from Indian members that deride your team. Have a little bit of dignity in defeat.

A more aggressive captain was needed for Pakistan. RR was a big issue after the WI disaster, but Sarfraz preferred playing it safe in the following games. Several matches where a risk had to be taken, we played safe instead of going for the kill early. We won but at the cost of the RR.

Having said that its not easy being a Pakistani team captain. If the aggressive stance by a captain does not pay off then people call for the captains head for being irresponsible.

India did not lose on purpose to England. England won because they played better and they were lucky that day (with the toss and with Jonny Bairstow not being given out)

As for Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav, those two have struggled to score quickly in every single match, not just in the one with England. Dhoni is not a big hitter of the ball anymore, he is too old and Kedar Jadhav never had that capability.

As for why Kohli and Rohit played slow initially, well we lost KL Rahul very early for a duck. After that we had to go on the defensive and save wickets so that we can accelerate later. Otherwise we could have lost to England by a big margin and that would have been very bad for our net run rate in case India lost the next two matches with Bang and Lanka.

Listen as someone said, India's 180 run biggest defeat at CT Final against Pakistan has left Indian Team hurting till today. What did MS Dhoni drubbing to Pakistan this WC was - a massive 0 or 1 run against Pakistan. LoL

As I said most Pakistanis like me love to compete and keep Indians/Afghanis/Bangalis and to a certain extend English at a distance of not so friendliness...India actually being the most enemy country of Pakistan.

Eng vs India match was holy and pure supreme sportsmanship and not running away from Pakistanis right as you want us to make believe. Sorry not buying your story. A cheat is a cheat.

As numerous Pakistanis said we have faced all accusations, blames, cheats be it be ICC, sports, England, India, Politics and War, we faced it by ourselves fairly and our own ways and we will Inshallah keep on doing till Judgement Day.
