England can beat India ‘every day of week’: Gough

It seems that according to everyone the only team that does not deserve to be the no.1 team in the world is infact the the current no.1 team. Even the captain of no.5 test team (Sangakara) had earlier said that india does not deserve the top position and Sri Lankan team was the best team in the world. It would'nt surprise me if Bangladesh claims the same tomorrow that it should be the number 1 team.:rofl:

Agreed with Gough India is Lions only in their own backyard that is fact you take their all time foreign record you will get the fact

yeah right. goofy had always had the habit of making things large. it will be an even contest. this indian team is no push over. there is no way england can claim to defeat india every day of week.
You mean Royal Stag is available in England... :-)

Thats a thing of the past and our recent record negates your opinion. In the last 4 years, we have won series in England, WI and NZ. We have drawn in Aus and lost a close one in SA.

You need to read and follow a little more cricket.

typical deluded english mentality. Be it football or cricket.. win one match n they think they are world beaters.
this is what they said when they won 2005 ashes series to the entire world, only to be slapped around 5-0 in the return leg & came back to england with tail between their leg..

dont blame british, they are just not able to digest that they have never won world cup of game which they have invented themselves. They want some attention. So the desperate moves.
above all they are not able to digest that their glory of imperial times is fading away.:rofl:

i know.. even now, there are few commentators withing englad who just can not digest the fact that india is better than them. For them cricket played in sub continent pitches are not a legitimate one. Only the one on english, australia or SA counts. i still hear quite a few pindiths beating their drums about india not able to do well on foreign soil, which is absolutely absurd. They still seem to be living in the era of hobbs, compton, hutton & rest of the woodworms.
these guys just can't digest anything good about india & have seen this enough during their CWG broadcast!!

England was whitewashed in last two test series.

:)

Everyone dreams about beating the No 1 team! Wining against Australia gave them too much time to dream. He forgot that last two test series against England we whitewashed them.

Last ODI series result was 5-0!

If I were you I would have recalled the 2007 series against England in England.

Tests 1-0 won by India
ODI 3-2 won by England.

Before that in 2002 Test series was drawn 1-1 and India won the triangular series beating England in finals. Again this was played in England.

you take their all time foreign record you will get the fact

Apparently we are the only Asian to win a test match on the world's fastests wicket thats Perth.

and we dont even have a history of Fast bowlers. We have medium-fast/Fast-medium bowlers.

In the said test Austrailia was represented by Shaun Tait and Brett Lee.

we are either going to loose a series or win it against SA

1-1 is neither loose or win for anyone let alone India.

but india surely is touring england aftr world cup.

The Indians won't get "mad" for sure. It's natural to them, no?
Now it maybe a good opportunity for Indians to contemplate: why?
Why is not a big deal if a Brit says they can beat Indians "every day of the week?"

I could not think of any reason other than Hurley want a divorce?

yes sir jee beating NZ and WI even bangalis can do it but if you see english past 5 years record that is even far far better than what india had it is not what you go on past for only few years but whole record of india suggest they are lions at their own backyard and wet cat at foreign tours this is fact and agree with gough that india might have world's best batting no doubt but they also have one big big weakness in which bowling world's weakes bowling attack is india i have one question for you how many times india bowling defended low totals for india on handful times and even if they have done i think it must be 2 to 3 times and on bowling conditions if you want to be best you must have good bowling too

Can you post something which is further away from the topic and needs more context?
