What's new

Egyptian Armed Forces

Ok I am with you but the thing is that MK1A isn't even mass produced for IAF so first they must produce for themselves then the others and not matured enough. Second, if we can get those equipments then we can put them on the Fa-50.

The basis for the TEJAS MK1A, of which 50 aircraft have already been produced, is the TEJAS MK1 You are not talking about a new fighter plane. Rather, you are talking about some upgrade on a plane that will enter service within one year only. Weapons merging programs and experiments have been going on for a while.

HAL begins flight trials of LCA Tejas Mk-1A

LCA Mk-1A is an upgraded version of the LCA Mk-1. LCA Mk-1 reached Full Operational Capability (FOC) in 2020.

The maiden flight trials of the LCA Tejas MK-1A (Light Combat Aircraft Mark-1A) have been started from the first week of May, said sources in the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) associated with the project.
https://indianexpress.com/article/cities/bangalore/hal-flight-trials-lca-tejas-mk-1a-8056653/

The first model of the plane was produced several months ago. A number of ammunition that will be integrated into the plane has already been tested in the first trial version. Therefore, the risk rate is much lower than what Korea plans for the FA-50 Which was sold at very high prices and with a bad or very modest radar The South Korean option is higher price Higher policy restrictions Less specifications than the Indian plane The South Korean plane's price rating should be lower than the Indian plane, not what is happening now The performance is comparable to the price The story of the risk with the Indian plane is equivalent to the gains that can be obtained, but there are also other advantages by integrating a Russian engine or a French engine. The United States controls the capabilities of aircraft through the type of engine provided to them. For example, the engine of the T-50 is the GE-404 engine with a thrust capacity of 17,700 pounds. While the version provided to the TEJAS aircraft is a GE-404 INS20 engine with a thrust capacity of 20,200 pounds. India, in light of the American, French and British competition, will obtain a copy of the GE-414 engine with a thrust capacity of 110KN, or 24,300 pounds, instead of the proposed version in the future for the FA-50 with a thrust capacity of 98KN. This is in contrast to all the superior capabilities of the TEJAS MK1A plane over some South Korean dreams in developing the FA-50 because simply all models of the TEJAS plane are superior from the outset, distinguished in integrating various types of Russian, European and Indian ammunition, unlike the Korean ones, which depend on American and Korean ammunition only. Even the FA-50 needs years of development and additional funds, which will be reflected in its already high price.
Por Gastón Dubois 17/01/2023

The successful export of the FA-50 to Poland through close cooperation with the government and a quick response in a rapidly changing security environment confirmed the potential of the European market, which KAI had previously considered inaccessible for its products. This shift is further evidenced by Airbus Defence & Space’s approach to the Korean firm to promote the FA-50 in Western European countries, burying the AFJT, its own advanced supersonic trainer/light fighter project, along the way.

Building on the success of the FA-50, Kang Gu-young wants to establish beachheads in the European, North American, African and Middle Eastern markets (possibly through Egypt), while strengthening KAI’s presence in the Southeast Asian and South American markets.

Versions of the FA-50 tailored to the particular requirements of each export customer will be promoted, including the possibility of developing the F-50 light combat single-seat version. What was not made clear is whether the development is dependent on a potential customer financing the project, or whether KAI plans to pay for it out of its own pocket.

I was not convinced at all by all the propaganda about the levels of Egyptian benefit from the T-50/FA-50 The Indo-Korean competition continues and is very high, and I am not optimistic at all about cooperation with South Korea. During 10 years of negotiations on cooperation programs, Egypt failed to attract South Korean investments in exchange for abandoning cooperation with North Korea because it is simply South Korea is a puppet in the hands of America, so Egypt did not get It invested in an oil refining complex worth $8 billion, and the project has failed since 2014. South Korea has failed to establish shipyards, electronics factories, and cars in Egypt in a real way. Ten years ago, Egypt signed an agreement with South Korea that Egypt would become the source of South Korean products for defense systems in the Middle East. And Africa, until this moment, nothing happened Movement is always taken against the direction of the national interests of the Egyptian ruling regime now. When we asked from the beginning to set up projects under the offset system, to diversify in cooperation programs with other countries other than Europe and America, and not to fight the Egyptian private sector and steal it, our interests were not obeyed, and the result is the bad economic situation and the state’s debt dumping and failure. In achieving Egyptian food security, and instead of raising the standard of living of Egyptians, they have been impoverished and drowned in debt. Therefore, the choices of the Egyptian regime always turn into disasters against the Egyptian people. Therefore, there is no real hope for development or reform in light of the mentality of control for 70 years, from which Egypt has only suffered 3 military defeats. Industrial and economic backwardness, and a debt-soaked country shopping from the smallest countries

But if we got ToT for the Uttam radar (it is a big IF hahaha) then we can make our version put them on the FA-50 aircraft in case SK accepts.

ToT just for a system, albeit one that is so crucial as an AESA radar and requires so much R&D and testing, without some major incentive to India to do so would not make sense to India would it? Had it been part of a deal for Tejas Mk1A fighters and Tejas twin seat trainers, then it would've made sense for sure.

Israel tried for years to get the Elta 2052 on upgraded Indian AF fighters. The result was that the IAF and HAL agreed to use the Elta 2052 on the upgraded Jaguar DARIN 3 fighters which are now being upgraded in service. But it took a large order size for the Jaguar DARIN 3 fighters and Tejas Mk1A (at least 20 initially) to get Elta to agree to HAL assembling the Elta 2052 at HAL facilities.

Mind you, that was an agreement for HAL to assemble the Elta 2052, it didn't involve any ToT on the AESA T/R units (GaAs) nor on the algorithms and back end signal processing that is the biggest piece of a good radar. The indigenous program to develop the Uttam AESA at the LRDE Institute went on side by side and didn't really benefit as such from the HAL program to assemble Elta 2052s since they're two totally different institutes.

Now that Egypt has gone in for the FA-50, it makes sense to pressurize SoKo to use the KF-21 Boramae's derived AESA radar on the FA-50. It will take a few years to develop and test but it is the most feasible solution. For a large order like the kind Egypt will place, this should not be a big ask. Also, the ToT for such a radar, at least to allow for maintenance and repair.

By the way, KAI had proposed a single seat F-50 instead of the FA-50 twin seater. It would allow for a large fuel tank to be installed where the second seat is, reduce drag by a few counts (due to the lower wetted area of the canopy) and give a genuine single seat fighter rather than a twin seater that is inefficient with a mandatory second seat. Will Egypt consider such an idea? It'll need some funding but isn't going to be the biggest challenge for KAI to do.

We will give another example of why I insist on Indian cooperation over Korean cooperation in the field of combat

India has produced UTTAM radar and is now making copies of it with a T/R number exceeding 912
This radar can be integrated into fighters

MIG-29M/M2
MiG-29SMT
MIRAGE-2000

Greece is looking to acquire part of the French developed MIRAGE-2000D, which France will take out of service, i.e. part of 50 aircraft or even 50 aircraft.
Egypt is considering acquiring 24 MIRAGE-2000-9 aircraft to replace the first Egyptian MIRAGE-2000BM squadron.
That is, 100+ radars can be integrated into these fighters, in addition to using them on fighters
TEJAS-MK1A

The option for the TEJAS-MK2 is not desirable because it is simply the Chinese FC-31 is a better option than it in stages, especially since China is open to obtaining a share of the Egyptian arms market and also so that Egypt does not become a tool in the hands of one arms supplier.
So the current option is preferable to be an upgraded version of the TEJAS-MK1A plane, especially since India is developing it faster than the MK2 version. The larger structure

compact_AESA.jpg

On the other hand, the Koreans chose an unhappy, low-performance radar for the FA-50, which is Raytheon's radar.
Raytheon's Phantom Strike radar
It is a radar dedicated to training aircraft and drones, and it does not even exceed the AESA radar equipped with the Italian M346 aircraft, which indicates that the Korean option in electronic equipment will be very bad and high in price, as we explained previously.

This topic explains, in general, the recent developments on the TEJAS MK1A plane and the extent of its military superiority over even the future dreams of the Koreans in the FA-50PL plane. https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/hot-...east-uae-saudi-arabia-and-egypt.728745/page-6

Also, what gives preference to the Indian offer is the integration of this series of munitions that India decided to integrate into the TEJAS-MK1A plane, in the upgraded versions of the MIRAGE-2000 plane in the Egyptian and Greek air forces, as well as in the Egyptian MIG-29M planes.

1 - It will be equipped with the European SCALP missile
India in talks with European firm MBDA for the local production of Scalp cruise missile

India is undergoing talks with European firm MBDA for the local manufacturing of the Scalp cruise Missile which is also known as ‘Storm Shadow’ that the Indian Air Force has acquired as part of the weapons package of 36 French Dassault Rafale fighter jets.

The Indian Air Force plans to integrate the 560 kilometers range Scalp cruise missiles in Tejas Mk 1A, Tejas Mk2, and the AMCA 5th Gen stealth fighter.

The Scalp is a stealth cruise missile that is designed to avoid radar detection and to hit high-value and densely protected targets deep inside enemy territory.

Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) and MBDA might join hands for the local manufacturing of the Scalp cruise missile as they are already establishing a facility for the final assembly, integration and testing of Advanced Short-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (ASRAAM) in India that will start operations in early 2023.

2 - HAL plans to certify Astra Mk1 and ASRAAM air to air missile before Tejas Mk1A enters production

3 - DRDO to test Astra Mark 1 BVRAAM with a new upgraded AESA seeker

DRDO to test Astra Mark 1 BVRAAM with a new upgraded AESA seeker

The fabrication of the Astra Mark 1 missile with the new AESA radar seeker has already started fabrication that will start testing in 2023 and it will be ready for production by end of 2024.

An AESA seeker-equipped missile is much superior as it can scan and acquire targets much faster. The AESA seekers are also more compact, lighter and are considerably more reliable.

Reduction of overall weight may increase its officially stated range of 110km beyond 120-130km.

5 - Jsr dynamics presents glide bomb

6 - Astra Microwave delivers an improved variant of Uttam AESA radar to DRDO for Tejas
In a big development Private Sector Defense company Astra Microwave has delivered an improved variant of Uttam AESA radar to DRDO's lab LRDE.

This AESA radar will now be integrated with Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas Mk2.

This improved variant will have more Transmitter Receiver (TR) modules than baseline Uttam AESA, but new radar will be smaller in size.

This is achieved by high density packing of TR modules and it will allow makers of Tejas to accommodate more electronics in nose cone of the aircraft like infrared search and tracking etc.

VKS Su-35S at Belbek, Crimea, armed with two R-37M AAMs (forward & rear centerline stations), two R-77-1 AAMs (engine inlet stations), two R-73L AAMs (mid-board wing stations), and one Kh-31PM ARM (inboard port wing station).

The development of Iranian-Russian armament relations has gains for Egypt from another direction

The Gulf countries deal sharply with the Russians to cancel any arms deals, but the Russians will pass some weapons to Iran, but in limited quantities to satisfy the Gulf countries.

Gulf countries will need to train against aircraft
MiG-29
Su-35
Ka-52
As well as against S-300VM/400 air defense systems
BUK-2
TOR-15

All of them are weapons in the service of Egypt, which will make them expand cooperation programs with Egypt to overcome the development in Iranian armaments that is taking place.

The Russians, on the other hand, to please Iran, will upgrade Iranian fighter Su-24/22/MIG-29

Transferring the technology of one of the Russian engines for production inside Iran, either the RD-33 engine or the AL-31 engine.
In exchange for Russian support with low-priced weapons that are acceptable in effectiveness against Ukraine
1674481518431.png

on the other side

Russian weapons in the war proved effective against Western weapons
Ukraine obtained the Western HAWK NASAM IRIS-T air defense systems. It did not prevent the destruction of Ukrainian infrastructure, nor did it prevent the targeting of Ukrainian forces or their successive defeats recently, or prevent the Russian advance. From not facing modern Russian weapons, therefore, Western arms customers discover the extent of deception practiced against them by Western propaganda for weapons whose prices are several times higher than their value.
This matter also increases Gulf fears about the effectiveness of Iranian weapons, whether Russian production used in Iran or Iranian ones produced in Iran with Russian and Chinese support.

Which makes the increase in Gulf military cooperation with Egypt more inevitable. The Gulf pressures to send funds to Egypt are related to exploiting the capabilities of the Egyptian army and placing it as a wall in the Gulf. The Gulf wants to cooperate with the Egyptian army, just as the Sudanese army is dealt with in Yemen, which kills in order to preserve and replace the Saudi soldiers, and this is what The Gulf wants it from Egypt in exchange for the limited economic support for Egypt, so that Egypt cannot be independent, but rather become at the mercy of the Gulf, whether by buying Egyptian assets or economic support. Egypt and its policies in exchange for limited economic support
The Gulf does not forget that Egypt did not offer its soldiers in Yemen to be burned on their behalf

The Russians also will not accept the Gulf pressures, but rather they want a return in the form of broader economic and perhaps military cooperation to limit their cooperation with Iran to a minimum. We have previously made it clear that the Egyptian SU-35 aircraft to be delivered to Egypt is 1000 times better than Egypt giving it up so that Iran can get it. At the same time, if Egypt were It conceded the planes so that the Russians sold the planes to Iran. Even the Iranians’ announcement that the planes will arrive after March 2023 simply means that they will be of new Russian production and will not be large numbers, but numbers that will not exceed 3 planes at most, and the delivery will be on a two-year schedule for the delivery of 24+ planes because the production lines Russia does not produce more than 16 planes annually, and the Gulf’s ultimate dream is that the Russians do not supply Iran with more than 30 planes, and that the Russians refrain from approving the production of the SU-35 in Iran, especially since the plane has embraced its success and enabled it to target Ukrainian MIG-29 fighters from a range of 217 kilometers. It is the longest declared range in air clashes in history

In the event that these tweets become credible or there is a real deal
This deal will speed up the Egyptian and Greek contracts

1674483018142.png

The Egyptian response should be through the production of the FC-31 aircraft, equipped with a WS-19 engine, with a thrust capacity of 110KN.
Commercialization of the aircraft will end by the end of 2023
It is expected that the production lines will enter 2024/2025, which allows Egypt, if the negotiations are over, to obtain them, starting from the year 2025.
1667576834736.png

It is the best option available to Egypt

Greece has other solutions, namely
Raising the number of Rafale aircraft to 40 aircraft with a new deal 16 aircraft from us to issue the F-4.2
Contracting for 30 F-35 aircraft
Greece may, as a quick solution, obtain 55 MIRAGE-2000D aircraft and develop them at a low cost, before obtaining any new aircraft from France and America.

Ha-ha-ha-ha. We maintain our superiority to preserve the terror that the Turkish Air Force fears. Egypt really has enough to outpace the Turks.
From the Rafale 54 and the MiG 29 52 aircraft, and contracting them with the SU-35, so the transition to a fifth generation fighter is inevitable,
and There are serious negotiations between Egypt and China for
FC-31

and the dreams of the Turks we use as an excuse to increase our superiority over them, so the news has no credibility either.
The Turks' dreams of the TFX plane are like their dreams of the ALTAY tank, and as a result, the Turks want the AVDS-1790 engine with a capacity of 1350 to power the M60 tank for more years because the Turks are unable to obtain modern tanks.

We come to the realities far from the dreams of the Turks The demographic composition of the Turkish state is changing, as we have said for a long time, and the Kurds will become the majority, and they will rule Turkey in the future.

The most that Yörük dreams of is secession and joining the European section, if the Russian bear does not destroy Western Europe.

How is it going with Indian ToT ahahah....

Turkish engine progam is going well, it needs time. The 4 stroke diesel engine are being used in USV.

You can make your joke about the engine program, but in the and you will never be at the level of Turkish defence industry in 100 years with this situation. Compared it with stronk egypt, wher the fak are you?

lol

Engine problem will be solved, first batch tank will be used with Doorsan engine. Turkish industry and Korean industry are solving the transmission problems together. Againg Turkey is solving problems, Egypt is buying. Do you understand your situation? Before you mock about others, i can mock you harder you people with your monkey models. Specially with your tot adventure but i am not doing.

Buying chinese fighters and asking tot😆.

watch the video and learn something, ToT will never bring you to this level. You need to work, and not ask people to share it with you. Nobody will give you, it seems the average level of defence analyst is low of Egypt. Turkish defence industry never asked for ToT, off-set was the key word. Demanding that they share a part of the work with you, and from that you will have to find your way. ToT is out of demand because you will never git it. Even we Turkey will never give it to our partners. pathetic asking Pakistan ToT, and then go to Indians 😆, and then go to China.Lazy Egyptians...

Dunno why you are comparing Egyptian Air Force to Turkish Air Force, you aren't even a geopolitical rival or enemy of Turkey. A military junta ran country with less then half of our gdp is not in any meaningful way capable of having an extended war. By sheer production capacity and largely domestic arms industry we are not comparable, let alone technological edge. You had to ask a foreign company to design a basic apc for god sake.

You are very absent
Turkey suffers a major weakness in its armament systems, far from Turkish propaganda
Can the Turkish industry equalize with other countries?
The reality is that Turkey is living in a time of dreams
Turkey, the tank project that was launched in 2000 and started with a contract in 2008. We are now in 2023 and you are testing the South Korean engine, which has not yet proven high reliability.
While Egypt has at least 1025 M1A1 tanks
Since 10 years
QR-1-678x361.jpg

You are talking about Turkish engines, why are you negotiating on an American engine with old technologies, even if it is developed?
When Egypt begins to develop its military industry, it starts from a stage of its superiority over its enemies, and you yourselves went to the Koreans and paid 550 million dollars to transfer the technology of the K2 tank, and you have failed since the timing of entry into service in 2014 to produce it until now. A country that differs from you with a bad neighbor, because Israel and behind it are the countries that created it, while you sold yourselves to NATO, and the one who sells you for no price in the end has betrayed you.

When we go to India to produce upgraded versions of the LCH aircraft to replace the SA-342, while we have 46 KA-52 and 44 AH-64 helicopters, that is, we have sufficient numbers of heavy attack helicopters and complete the needs with lighter aircraft.
While you do not have a single heavy attack helicopter

As for you, you created hostility with the entire region, and we demand an arms embargo against you, because you

An enemy of Syria, an enemy of Iraq, an enemy of Greece, an enemy of Armenia, an enemy of the Russians, an enemy of the Libyan people, and an enemy of Egypt

I dream of what you say and spread your propaganda, but with one statement from our head of state and an imaginary red line, you became mute like women, because the Egyptian military power is capable of annihilating you in Libya, so you became like a wife who talks a lot when she got the first pen on her cheek and she became mute

The real size of the Turkish Air Force is known
Less than 2020 F-4 fighter squadron in service
The Turkish F-16 fleet, the real numbers are much less than 235, and you are still at the beginning of forming an air defense force, so you are in a real disaster.

Drones do not have a real superiority yet, while we do not announce our full real capabilities or our plans to arm them.

You are looking for outdated English TYPE-23 frigates to replace more ancient frigates because you are unable to compete. So where is the Turkish propaganda on the superiority of the Turkish industry in shipyards?

Turkey has an aircraft carrier that supplies them with Cobra helicopters
Because you have nothing to do with it, and it is two KH-31 missiles that are sufficient to touch the bottom
1637097910_ai-322f.jpg

You yourselves turned to the old and technologically backward Ukrainian engines of the Kizilelma aircraft, with an engine that went out of service in Egypt many years ago, which is the Ivchenko-Progress AI-25TLT engine.
They published pictures of the Turkish engines, but are they in service, of course not? The Turks, during the past two months, have shown a number of models with weapons, for experimental models only, for electoral purposes.
Even Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft negotiations
To dance in front of the Americans so that you try to attract their attention in order to give you a copy of the F-16 BLOCK 70 also for electoral purposes. Is it in the interest of Europe or America to support a country whose policy is hostile and criminal, like Turkey? What weapon? You never learn and never understand how politics is managed.
The Russians fought Ukraine, America, and Europe are draining the Russians, and if you try to fight Greece, the same thing will be done by the Europeans against you.
In this situation, you did not make your Muslim neighbors friends, but rather you tried to occupy my land together and ethnically and alerted its wealth, and you stole Libyan financial assets through suspicious deals with the Tripoli gangs in Libya
The Russians manipulated you and made a fool of you in Europe. They sold you 2-4 S-400 batteries in exchange for your expulsion from the F-35 program and American sanctions. Europe itself is arming Egypt because of your aggressive policy.
What the Turkish industry says is Western, Israeli and Chinese technology, and it did not benefit you

Because you are simply going about what others allow you to do, not the achievements as you imagine. Will the Turkish military production programs benefit you in solving the Kurdish problem? Does anyone care about you in the eastern Mediterranean, or are you expelled and outcast in the eastern Mediterranean and in the Mediterranean Gas Forum? Even your dreams of a suspicious agreement with Libya were rejected there by the court.

Being close to nato and eu proximity, as well as being important for them allows flexible tot to advance your military industry, we never had that opportunity. And since we are building ourselves up now, you feel threatened. Due to globalization, you have to purchase tot to start somewhere, thats the name of the game. Thats just how it is. And yet some of you folks bark at what we are doing when you yourselves have done that and still continue to do so, very hypocritical...even binkovs battlegrounds made a video about your drone industry and how it is going now and how it evolved
