The EDL protest included a handful of ehtinic minority supporters that you might not normally consider potential memebers of such a group.

been seen at a rally. The EDL is a new intolerant organisation that does not necessarily conform to traditional definitions of a hate group. Though the majority of it's members are white English males the group also includes women, gays, jews, Afro-Caribbean's and even Asians. This saturdays rally there were even some Muslims and Sikhs who participated. The group is, overwhelmingly hostile not so much towards race as it is towards religious beliefs. A lot of their opposition claims that the group is just watering down traditional racism to seem more socially acceptable by including ethnic minorities. Will the EDL see more ethnic minorities in the future or less and less of the few that exist.

They left because EDL hate every muslim while they only had problem with extremists like Anjum Chaudhry. Its not like EDL leaders have changed their views. But there are differences between hating everyone beloging to that particular group or just extremists of that group like Anjum.

I dont live in UK but if you say that 40% are extremists then thats huge number. Anjum should be in parliment by now.
