We need to enhance ECO as a regional free trade organization and have minimum duties between member countries. We should also have defense cooperation. We should have trade in local currencies between member states. Pakistan is facing serious food safety situation during the current floods and the duty free vegetable and fruit imports from Afghanistan and Iran have helped in mitigating the situation.

ECO is organization of non Arab Muslim countries in Asia.
The organization never did anything fruitful

Customs free trade in local currencies can help in alleviating poor economic conditions. During the current flood crisis in Pakistan, the duty free imports of onions and tomatoes from Afghanistan and Iran helped in overcoming the food shortage. We need to reactivate the ECO as the One Belt One Road initiative by China is linking up the old Silk Routes.
