This is not a sound logic. Western societies claim to be the champion of human rights and preach respect for the traditions of minorities, and then these kind of political decisions are being made? This is hypocrisy + communism. Not democracy.

Now consider the population growth rate of Netherlands = 0.28% only, and this include reproduction rate of immigrants.

Whites are no longer family-oriented and do not reproduce to required levels. Immigration is the only method through which Netherlands can ensure a positive population growth rate, and immigrants generally contribute to productivity of the host country. But expecting them to shed their values for the host country? Do you expect Muslims to stop being Muslims in a Western society? Bullshit.

Either Western Whites step up their game, reproduce like rabbits and ban immigration, or put an end to their hypocrisy.

People who undergo a religious marriage ceremony before taking part in a civil one will face fines, if draft legislation proposed by the right-wing Liberal VVD and left-wing green party GroenLinks wins parliamentary approval.

The measure is particularly aimed at Islamic weddings and aims to stop ‘the creation of a parallel society in which Islamic law takes priority over Dutch law,’ VVD MP Jeroen van Wijngaarden told Radio 1 news.

Currently clerics can be fined if they oversee a religious ceremony before a couple have gone through a civil ceremony but ‘some Imams ignore the rules’, Van Wijngaarden said.

The VVD and GroenLinks hope that by changing the rules, women will not be disadvantaged in the case of divorce and that it will be more difficult to go through arranged and forced marriages.

Dutch law currently states that marriage partners must be over the age of 18 and not married to anyone else at the same time.

The two parties also want the justice ministry to get tougher on clerics who break the rules.

Islam does not approve of run-away grooms/brides and forced marriages.

Per Islam, a man is supposed to seek the hand of a woman from her family prior to wedding, and the knot should be tied in the presence of eye-witnesses (family members and relatives). And of-course, a woman is supposed to say YES three times or Nikah is not possible (forced marriage not acceptable). About a day or two after the bride leave for her marital home with her husband, a grand reception is scheduled by the husband's household for friends/relatives or public at large to make the marriage well-known in the community and to feed the participants (Walima).

However, people can be crooked and partake in wrong.

Tell us more about these levels? I mean it happens but certainly not very often. You're making it seem like it's some crazy big problem.

The main reason obviously is that the dutch do not like Islam, anything Islamic at all. Banning Islamic things = more votes at the election. That's pretty much it.

They also added the "we are doing this to safeguard women from arranged and forced marriages" rubbish to make it seem like they're not purely hating on Islam.

But why the religious wedding is a problem ? How going through a religious wedding before a civil one is a problem?

Here in France, you can do religious wedding if you want, it would simply not being recognised by law. In this case for french law you are not married, unless you go to civil wedding.
