DRDO test fires Vertical Launch Short Range Surface to Air Missile (VL-SRSAM) designed for ship-borne air defence. The air defence system can engage targets at around 15 km is being developed by DRDO for naval warships. The missile fired from a vertical launcher intercepts an electronic target at a very low altitude. First image just out:
