DRDO Developing High Altitude 'Killer' Missile

Awesome information

Something is fishy. Earlier reports said new interceptor (Phase 2) will be able to shoot down missile with up to 5000 KM range and now they are saying this.

@Capt.Popeye @Dreamreaper

No, i think u misinterpreted it earlier thats all.

AD1 n AD2 will be developed to intercept ICBMs.

AFAIK there is no ABM in the entire world with 5000km range missiles.

For intercepting ICBMs u don't fire ur own ICBM, hope u got it.:)

When I said Earlier reports said new interceptor (Phase 2) will be able to shoot down missile with up to 5000 KM range and now they are saying this, I was referring to range of enemy missiles and not interceptor.

Sorry :D but untill the real missile comes out such minor differences will keep poping up in new releases.:)

Wasn't there news that the PDV will be tested off a ship?

Yea this will end up as a failure like the Kaveri and LCA.

Hopefully Russian don't charge India too much

We're talking about AD-1&2 missiles, right?

This is excellent news. If trials of PDV-1 is successful we would have completed the Phase I of our Missile defense shield.

This would provide us with permanent cover against any missile attack from Pakistan or china.

Phase II is for ICBM's that is launched from US or Oceans of the world at India.
