Logic, I believe you have freedom to criticize them.

I regularly see karan's Devil's Advocate, every time he comes for interview with lot of study and information that is really fantastic.

I think we need these people, irrespective of we personally like them or not. Because they are not harming the society so let them do their work and lets do our job too.

.
^^^Those facts are easy to verify. Just check your nearest stock market. I won't be surprised if most of that is fairytale.

Karan does a fantastic job. His style of interviewing is different from the normal interviewers in these parts but he is always prepared and grills them hard.

I guess its a matter of getting used to his style and then you start liking his interviews.

.
I don't believe the so called "facts" presented.

India has a good control system to avoid it's media from being controlled by foreigners. In fact they are sometimes believed to be too restrictive.

.
Logic, you know rite, that foreign companies cannot hold more than 26% ( I think) stake in media companies?

No its not personal .. its about the way they force the unbalanced view .. .. sometime Ego takes over your sense of opinion.. for example the same news is presented differently by two different individual , because there perceptions and purpose vary .. and in this egoistical writings the truth suffers ..
you have to understand .. Media is more about money making and Selling self to remain in the Business .
there are few who grow beyond that selfish capitalism and present the true facts

I understand LN. The point is exactly that Indian laws don't allow the foreign ownership of Indian media. I am not clear about the difference you are trying to point out between ownership (stock holding) and funding. But I am sure the laws would not allow the control to vest with a foreign entity.

I guess most of these media companis are publicly listed and it should be possible to get their holding structure form NSE/BSE or SEBI websites.

Vinod even if the structure of these companies are known nothing could be done to control the contents being aired or published no matter who owns these media orgs.

That is true and that is how it should be.

Even USA controls foreign ownership of media because the media can be used to build opinions of the population and it is important that it is not used for subversion. Having said that, free media is the cornerstone of democracy.

If the ownership of the media is domestic, the chances of it being abused are reduced to a large extent.

No Jana .. ths is not a Game where anyone want to settle the scores.. its very unfortunate that Poverty has been exploited by an Ideology of pathetic sense of morality (Maoism ) to get the Power ..
As Mao said .. Power comes from the barrel of the Gun .. he stopped to finish the sentence .. we all know what he did with his People ..
Power comes from the barrel of gun and suffering of People ..

Logic this is India's internal matter so here in this case i dont support any of the sides. You must be knowing the real sitution there.

One thing i failed to understand that it has been going on since 1967. Its been a long time why the govenment did not pay attention to the real cause of the problem.

If im not wrong there too mineral richness is one reason while the Industrilization is another so i dont think so its matter of any morality.

Jana, the people who join these movements have been poor and helpless for centuries. It is just a manifestation of their desperate struggle for survival.

When people at the lowest end of the chain express themselves, it is always violent and brutal. It will take decades for these people to develop the kind of systems of thought, that allows the modern world to function.

Communist .. and there Promise of forced Equality is a Moral Dream ..
they want to become superior by promising equality to others , while they themself will remain unequal ..
and there sense of equality is -- Bring down the ppl who are rich, destroy intellectuals and freedom .. but not help poor to achieve better economical growth .. they will kep them poor for their own power .
this failed ideology has still some buyers .. and some poor tribals falls for it
