Turkey is working on seriously strategic project to develop own turboshaft engines to power up own helicopter programs. It will ease the hands of our officials to export strategic complete assault copter packages to abroad.

The Specifications of domestic turboshaft is announced as following:

Maximum Takeoff Power (Mean Sea Level): 1400 shp
Maximum Dry Weight: 195 kg
Maximum Dimensions: 900 (l) x 650 (w) x 800 (h)

The platforms to be integrated:

TUHP 5 tons utility helicopters which is under development phase at present.

If this actually happens, Pakistan will be more willing to buy it. Pakistan wants it, but there are concerns about western engines.

This is amazing news. A while ago they developed jet engine blades and now this.
But yet some time ago, this all seemed only possible in far future.
