Doklam standoff: China’s Xinhua agency releases racist video parodying Indians

The video may be offending to some Indians, but it is a stretch to call it racist. Anyway, I agree the video could have been made with more sensitivity in mind, but I still do not believe this small incident will change the course of history between our two countries.

Nice talking to you.
I hope this incident wont change the view between us two giants, but seeing the uproar in such anti-govt sites like reddit, i dont have my hopes high.

Haha, yes Indians are still STUCK on Chinese territory, and you can't do jack about withdrawing or staying on too long.
This is what they call stuck between a hard place and a rock.
Those poor soldiers, worrying to death, waiting and waiting when China will strike.
Waiting 1 hour is torturous already, not to say waiting 2 months already.
Keep on waiting while China slowly decide when best time and the best place to strike.
Only dumb India will put itself into such a precarious situation.
In the meantime China will make more videos to fight on the PR side before the Kill.
.

LOL. Classic chinese, you lot really do like to twist your shame into something that suits your rhetoric.

What's actually stuck between a rock and a hard place is, China thinking they can easily bully land out of a smaller nation but never expecting India to intervene right before the crucial 19th CCP congress which could upend leadership in the CCP.
And now India which is well entrenched with all its equipment refuses to move while simultaneously having the advantage of terrain and fully acclimatised soldiers.
And we call that "Aage kooan peeche khai".

Talk about how "successful" you are after defeating us and taking "your land".

A volunteer army whose soldiers on an average serve for decades don't "worry" about battle but welcome it, that's why they got into it in the first place.

Its the conscripted army whose soldiers under the one child policy, who are the actual worriers.
They just want to serve their time and get away from the army as soon as possible, they know their bloodlines will end if they die fighting, specially against a battle hardened army who are at the peak of their esprit de corps.

We'll casually wait, coz we know in the end China really can't do much other than make parody videos and throw stones.

Your contention about 'one child' would be correct for conscripted soldiers, not for volunteer professional soldiers who chose to serve their nation.
China is not in a hurry to take back Donglang.
It serves China's interest to keep hundreds of thousands of Indian soldiers on high alert for months on end.

If you had military experience, you would know that it is very stressful, mentally and physically to be on standby.
The soldiers had to be ready to sacrifice at a moments notice.
The soldier's families are also very stressed, knowing their loved ones safety are at stake.
The stress is compounded by not knowing when or if China will strike.
You should know how it feels waiting for the unknown.

But of course it is not stressful if you are on Standby at your Keyboard.

Indian soldiers on Donglang have problem eating or sleeping in peace.
With war rhetoric increasing, they will suffer serious mental disorders.
You are right that Indian soldiers would wish to get it done and over with instead of being hung in suspense.
You know, just surrender and get fed and nursed like in 1962.

So let your soldiers enjoy a few more months of mental torture being dished out by China.
Good luck. I hope China let those Indians cool their butt in Donglang for a long time.
It sure is a luxury staying in their trenches.

Meanwhile Chinese soldiers are enjoying 'King of Glory'.
.

Nice try...that will never happen, isn't it clear enough that China don't negotiate, India will have leave and then we shall come after India over this Donglan incident, India shall be hold accountable...you guys don't just expect that it will just simply over like that.
Ooooo, BOLD words too bad that's all you have done so far- talk/threaten and now we have this ridiculous video.

Whatever happened to talk softly and carry a big stick?

You guys are humiliating yourselves with these empty threats, do you think anyone in India is taking you seriously anymore? Your credibility is entirely shot because of this entire incident and your response. This could have been handled responsibly like ADULTS but you have descended into this nonsense and behaved like adolescents.

China had an opportunity to show itself the mature and powerful nation it claims to be, that is an opportunity it has squandered and it won't get it back.

Wow!

CCP IS frustrated.

They are trying the third method: spreading misinformation and propaganda in US accent English so as to influence Western foreign policy towards this whole so-called dispute.

And they are so incompetent that this has massively backfired on them......

Aaaand we are still "on chinese territory" and they can't do jack about it other than crying on videos.

I wouldn't say its racist, they are definitely making fun of India and Indians, its more offensive rather.

But all this proves is how desperate the chinese are getting.

They are trying every trick in the book, their Foreign Minister is publicly lying, their tabloids are fervently trying to get a rise out of us but they keep failing in every turn.

At some point this is going to get boring enough to not even warrant a thread on pdf.

1- It is not Chinese territory. Bhutan's Prime Minister has himself said this.
2- A handover or even a territory capture is out of question for China since that means we might as well become their vassal state.

So no thanks.

Siliguri corridor is at risk. We cannot afford that especially when China slowly started taking over the Chumbi valley mile by mile and isolated Bhutan from Sikkim.

Not really.
The only thing that is worse than bad news is no news.
This video is highlighting how India is manipulating poor Bhutan to the world at large.
Racist or not, its a good thing the video is getting wide coverage.
The more controversy it creates, the more widely it gets disseminated.
Its very entertaining for me.
Its portrayal of Indian behavior is on spot.
Well done Xinhua, Well done China.
.

LOL, they have resorted to begging God to destroy the IN's ships otherwise they are screwed, this is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time on PDF.

The level of desperation contained in that post is amazing....

Personally, I can't wait for Vietnam, Japan and South Korea to realise this soon.

Oh imagine the collective surprise they'd have.

Vietnam would be like, "Achha ! to yeh hai Dragon ka sach".

Wow, you guys are so brainwashed it is unreal.

With this video China has made itself (even more of) a laughing stock, this video is being shared and is being mocked. I don't consider it racist or even offensive, it is indicitive of the mindset the Chinese clearly have and frankly if this is the best they can do then the world really has nothing to fear from China.

If you actually think anyone will pay attention to the content of this video or take its contents seriously you are wrong, the fact is the only thing that is being discussed about this video is the delivery and it is not flattering for China.

The fact that this entire issue has descended to these depths because of the Chinese obsession with propoganda and empty rhetoric is a HUGE loss of face for China, with every day they are growing more petulant and desperate.

The fact that this is in English shows how desperate the Chinese are to legitimise their position and portray India as the aggressor, so much for China being big and confident.

literally impossible trying to get them to understand or validate their level of brainwashing. You would have more chances of getting hit by lighting!

Singapore government is busy making Singapore a 1st world country.
Not waste time offending neighbors and getting into disputes like India.
Not busy brainwashing its citizens about China or India.

About brainwashing, I see a lot of it in India.
I don't read Chinese news, so no comment on that.
I see a lot of self congratulations and self assurance feel good by Indians.
Seems like they do this a lot, or else how to explain their being so proud that they are a 3rd world country with poverty rates worse than Sub-Saharan Africa and 600 million have to shit on the streets.

The video is in English precisely so that more people, more nations get to know the truth about Indian bullying of Bhutan instead of Indian lies. The amount of comments supporting Chinese position is remarkable instead of the usual mostly derogatory remarks.
Even those who may mock this video will get the real message behind it on retrospection.
At the very least they will get China's version of the incident, they will question why Bhutan is silent.
Bhutan's silence will be magnified the greater the controversy over this video gets.
Well done China. :china:
