Do Pakistan Need a Nuclear Submarine to Check US

Well, the US is a country after all and their technology, however supreme and advanced, is still man made so it could be defeated. Besides, the oceans as massive, infact word massive becomes microsomal when you speak of Oceans. Practically it is not possible for the US to have 100% surveillance of the Ocean around it and a single submarine that can sneak through would be more then enough.

Practically it is not possible in the open oceans, yes. But to reach the Atlantic and the Pacific you have to cross certain choke points (eg, Suez, Malaccas etc) where the US can easily keep a watch over. Maybe they are already doing it.

Besides, if you read the first 2 pages with the story how a Chinese sub surprised the US Navy you may realize that every technology that we have today can be defeated. Perhaps the US have dominated the world for so long that they have started to believe their military is impenetrable. While they have not faced a worthy opponent for too long and all their targets have been weak countries.

As others have already said it was just to spook the senators and earn more budget. Happens all the time in all the militaries.

Try again? Alright. Though I do not quote low life trolls who come and go on this forum, I’d love to tell you that sir Mastan Khan and I once had a debate with VCheng and Nabil_05. The topic was on the development of a Anti Aircraft Carrier torpedo/missile by Pakistan. We are currently working on a Nuclear tipped anti A/C/C missile aiming at you’re A/C/Cs. In part of the argument, this picture was posted and I replied affirm by what our move will be. A JF-17 Thunder or Mirage V with Ra’ad or a Babur fired from shore into this formation can simply take away all of those. Pakistan wont mind firing a nuke on this formation if they are heading towards us with an intention of open war.

Pakistan has tactical nukes that can be deployed on NASR, let alone an ASCM or Carrier Killer Missile.

Our attack capabilities would only be good for deterrence, if that fails the US will be brutal no matter what we do, or don't do. They don't even spare infants......so why not hurt them as much as we can before we go down. We will go down against them anyway so why not retaliate as much as possible?

I totally disagree with what you have written.

On the other hand, if the US was aware that a country has the capability to attack mainland USA and that too with a WMD capable of wiping out entire cities, I am sure the US will refrain from going to war with that country, ever.

let face it... nuclear submarines cost a hell of money. Arihant cost is around 2.9 bn usd. With such a sh!!th economy I don't think pakistan can built or buy anyone.

Sorry but I am not getting any of this -- why do we want to engage a US BCG spread over 30 kilometers.

As I see it, the need to engage the BCG would be the last ditch game. A hand played out when all is about to go. If that is the case,than anything and everything is possible.

The matching repsonse from US would be to Nuke our military bases with tactical nukes fired from three boomers somewhere off the coast of Oman.

Once again, why are we discussing this - this is not an option but a doomsday scenario, atleast in my humble opinion -- a better option would be discuss how not to fall into a situation where things would eventually turn out of hand and we end up with a shooting war with US and its allies.

As far as gentleman Maverick is concerned, if it is between not giving us credit or what we have done and death with "Dignity" (If there is such a thing as death with dignity) -- my choice would be.... yep do not give me credit, it not your to give in the first place. I have been telling you yanks for years that I am doing, what I am doing, for my sake's and not yours!!!!!
