Two nation theory was dead the day when one-third of Muslims of Republic of India decided not to leave for Pakistan. This clearly showed that there were some Muslims in India who were tolerant of other religions and who did not believe that Muslims formed a different nation but that all Indians form one nation.

The objective behind the demand for Pakistan was to achieve religious freedom and economic and social uplift of Muslims as much as possible. The objective was not to create a hate filled divide between Muslims and Hindus. The demand was only for those areas where Muslims were in clear majority. Of course there were Muslims all across India, and not just in the areas covered under the demand for Pakistan. It was therefore implied that even after the creation of Pakistan there would still be Muslims living in India as a minority.

Muslims in India are still seen by Hindus through the prism of the partition. Prejudice and faith discrimination against Muslims does exist in India. Their economic conditions are worse than all others communities i.e 31pc of Muslims live below the poverty line which is close to the 35pc for Dalits and Adivasis.

Indian Muslims are the most confused Muslim community in the world with the exception of Kashmiri Muslims and few others. They don't have courage to take a stand against anything , have to live as second or third class citizens in their own home land, they cant even practice their faith freely in Hindu dominated areas, they can,t build new mosques and save old ones, can't eat beef, their social status is that of low caste Hindus(untouchables), they live under constant fear of Hindu majority, they even try to intermarry with Hindus to please them and some like those of Bollywood celebrity take part in pooja phaat in attempt of pretending to be secular or tolerate because tolerance for Hindus is giving up your faith and adopting Hindu practices and visiting temple and gurdawra

Sorry but Punjabi, Sindhis or Kashmiris are not genetically closer to Indians. Apart Indian Punjabis who are just 2% of Indian population, rest of Indian population have 50-80% South Indian genes. Indian chamar sikhs will have 40-45% ASI genes while Jatts and Khatris 30% just like Pakistani punjabis. Kalash people are also Indo-Aryan or "Indic" as you say it lol. Basically "Indic" mean Indo-Aryans speaking population, doesnt mean Biharis and Punjabis are same.

There are millions of pashtuns and baloch in Punjab. Half of Baloch population of Pakistan is in Punjab. The director of Waar film is Baloch-Punjabi. For him Brahui people of Balochistan which speak Dravidian language are genetically related to South Indians. Depite them having just 12% ASI genes, the lowest in South Asia. I was comparing the economic and social condition of those Muslims who stayed in India and those who migrated to Pakistan during creation of Pakistan . Saraiki, Pashtuns, Baloch are still in better conditions than those vast majority of Indian Muslims living in below poverty line

I have never heard anyone getting rid of poverty in 10 years. Almost all Sindhis live in villages, Saraikis and Baloch live in extreme poverty while rest of you consider Pashtuns as extremely backward. If British hadn't left Canal colonies in Punjab, perhaps Punjab would too had been in same shape.

Indian Muslims are backward because their educated elite left for Pakistan and now constitute Muhajirs in Pakistan.

Indian Muslims had literacy rate 60% in 2001, Pakistan will achieve 60% literacy by 2015. The educated elite of Indian Muslims left for Pakistan, that is one of the factors of of their backwardness.

All Sindhis still live in villages. Except for North Punjab, rest of Pakistan is still backward. There are many districts in Pakistan with mere 20% literacy rate.
