Did PAF Cross The LOC !

The story created immediately after the strike was a convenient and necessary lie, that Stand Off missiles were used and PAF didn't cross the LOC.

Well, it is a guarantee that PAF crossed the LOC to demonstrate to the Indians that any incursions in to Pakistan would be responded in forceful and meaningful manner.

It is acknowledged fact that IAF on 26th Feb did cross the LOC albeit very briefly i.e. they remain 2/3 minutes in Pakistani airspace. Therefore, it was necessary for PAF to square the scores by entering in to the Indian Airspace in broad day light and challenge the Indians, proving that they came in the dark of the night, entered Pakistani airspace briefly before fleeing.
On the contrary PAF entered their airspace, fired off the locked targets, made IAF flee the scene keeping their tails between their legs.
Looking at the fact, firing of SAM by IAF make perfect sense. Joyfully they downed their own helicopter killing 6.
Good, actually excellent results all around.

They are indeed the class. Sad to see some ppl here undermine its capabilities

Living Legend

well sir, you also didn't first agree with my post on the Aggressor squadron....:-)
Anyways give it time.

Because I hadn't confirmed it at that time.
And it was my confirmation after which your Thread was reopened.:D

Why did the Indian ground defenses fired a Spyder SAM at a target flying within the Indian side of LOC ?. This is the point that has never been raised by Indian MOD or otherwise, at least not openly. Keep in mind that the Spyder SAMs, supplied by Israel to India has a maximum range of 20km.
As the details of operation Swift Retort gradually get leaked, the cause of Indian panic and desperation becomes obvious. Once again why fire a SAM over own airspace when you allegedly have own fighter jets in the area.
The whole scenario now confirms that the PAF actually crossed the LOC, not only to strike at Indian targets but also as a follow up.
It's now said that after IAF Pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan crossed the LOC and ended up getting shot down, PAF pilot Squadron Leader Hassan and party went over to challenge the IAF, thus during this process S/L Hassan fired his AMRAAM at the IAF formation scoring a hit on the SU-30 thus forcing the rest of the IAF fighters to flee from the scene. Since no IAF aircraft was in a position to challenge the intruding PAF fighters, thus in desperation the Indian ground defenses fired at what they assumed to be a PAF aircraft but shot down their own helicopter in process. So yes, throwing the challenge in broad daylight, the PAF did cross the LOC on that fateful day.

I love you Pakistan Air Force!

It's like 27th Feb was a movie and every now and then a deleted scene is revealed. xD

We call this cut scene lol

SU-30 hit is still unverified. Until PAF releases the proof, The claim will just remain a claim.

Does world beliefs Pakistan claim of SU-30 ? Kindly read the Kaiser Tufail Version and SU-30 unverified kill claim. What Proof? PAF just claimed they shot down something. This is not the first time PAF claimed something and that thing turned out to be wrong. Happened in Afghan war as well.

PAF Awarding a SU-30 kill to a pilot is still a claim unless they back it up with proper proof instead of mere rewards and words.

its normal to alert whole air defence in surrounding areas . if helicopter didnt turn on friend and foe transponder it was pilot fault.

and no .... PAF didnt dare like this to went insider and stay inside IOK airspace for much long. it was only shoot and scoot

Sure sure and the iaf killed exactly 300 terrorists in Balakot and shot down an F-16........

Your Account is based on lot of wrong assumptions. Kindly refer to Kaiser Tufail Version and The SU-30 shotdown details plaque put up by PAF. Pakistani F-16 never crossed the LoC. SU-30 was vectored towards the strike package, hence Hassan Siddique fired at it to disperse it and it was the first volley of airbattle. Mig-21 shoot down came at the last when Su-30 and Mirages left the airspace.

SU-30 hit is still unverified. Until PAF releases the proof, The claim will just remain a claim.
Do you know initially Sir Kaiser Tufail was saying that NO PAF aircraft crossed the LOC and even the Mirages launched their weapons from within Pakistani air space but gradually the reality dawned .
Even the name of the second shooter aka W/C Nouman wasn't being disclosed.
Anyways while some of us are keen to trust and believe the Indian versions, sadly for those even the Indians are gradually accepting the truth.

Meteor AAMs, with a strike range of 120 to 150-km, can outgun any missile that can be unleashed by Pakistani or Chinese jets.

The request comes in the backdrop of the aerial skirmish between Indian and Pakistani fighters in Nowshera sector on Feb.27

India's Sukhoi-30MKIs and other jets, scrambled to intercept incoming Pak fighters, had found it difficult to engage F-16s at long ranges on that day.
