i beg to differ .............in my book, a muslim country is a country where the constitution is based on islam....al the laws are islamic .............the slate religion is islam........

you dont call america a christian country even though they have a christian majority...............

And before I conclude my article, I should say something for our brothers in Bangladesh. Those Muslim brothers in a large Muslim country, our brothers in Bangladesh & Pakistan, they are in large countries independent from India to establish Islam. In Pakistan reign the entire country was named as Pak stan. It was West Pakistan & East Pakistan. East Pakistan separated and named itself as Bangladesh. There were a government close to Islam, and there are some far-away from Islam.

By the way, Yousuf al Qardawee is a close friend of Golam Azam. Suffice to say, it is wrong on Jamaat's part to say that Bangladeshis are going further away from Islam just because of Bangladesh as a state and AL as per Jamaat's perceptions. One should choose his words carefully.

Islam is Bangladesh's state religion. Not exactly secular. However, its constitution does ensure rights for minorities.

On the other hand, Bangladesh hasn't done a great job when it comes to the security of minorities. Chittagong Hill Tracts region still isn't moving forward economically despite its huge potential. Even under a secular party.

And last but not the least, don't feed brainless secularists.

I think it means the same thing. If you look at Bangladesh as a whole, then no.is alcohol banned?Does it follow shariah? so yes it is not a Muslim country but it has 90% Muslims living in it.
