That is a very intelligent point, but the counter to that lies within your knowledge of Indian politics, beyond a doubt.

If you care to consider, it has always been that the BJP has acted as a political grouping of RSS people, the RSS considering the thrust and cut of electoral politics to be an undignified occupation not appropriate for cultured and educated people who prided themselves on their standing aloof from positions where corruption was a constant temptation. If you stop to consider the BJP leadership, you are indeed right to consider the eclectic leadership that they have received. If you turn to the RSS, however, the picture is radically different. And therein lies the key to your puzzle.

There was, in fact, India from 1858 onwards, constituted as a state. Please don't waste everybody's time flaunting your ignorance. Go and read up first.

South Asian Muslims are descendants of Arabs, Turks and Persians.

Some Muslims may have Hindu DNA because your Hindu women could not resist the manliness of the Muslim males. That does not mean South Asian Muslims have the same DNA as the Hindus.

This whole issue is blown out of proportion.

There is a legitimate reason to drop Iqbal's political position from the political science syllabus, and there is also a built-in objection.

The legitimate reason is that Iqbal's political thinking is specific to the Two Nation Theory, and to the creation of a Pakistan. Nothing wrong with that, but once independence came, and Pakistan was created, that thinking, used to justify a separate state for Muslims, became irrelevant for study in India.

Apparently.

That justification is itself the embedded objection.

If we are to understand the distinct nature of the political philosophy that constituted India, there is an urgent need to understand what it was NOT. That brings us back to Iqbal. To understand the politics of newly constituted India, it is necessary to understand what was opposed to it, and the outstanding features of such an opposed system.

By removing the political philosophy of Iqbal, the examination board has missed an opportunity for students to compare the two ideologies and learn the differences.
