Debate / Ideas for solutions to Pakistan's economic problems

Well unless the pair of you are planning on killing the 100 million extra people we have I suggest we make lemonade with those lemons.

We need intensive, industrial, innovative farming, higher yields, less resources. Its the only way we're going to be able to feed our population.

Could probably do with free condoms too.

You are correct that it will take a lot of resources and effort to develop these lemons, as you called them, into actual lemonade, if it ever happens. And what we will do with the hundreds of millions of gallons of lemonade, but that question comes later.

We'll add mint to it, label it a mockito and sell it hopefully. :p:

Where on earth did i say that my friend???did you even bother to read my post????

No issues my friend. Now let us discuss the next idea.As you know for the past two years Pakistan in on the cusp of the digital opportunity of a lifetime

As you know that India is suffering from a Havoc wreaking second wave of COVID.Because of this Multinationals who have call centres in India are trying to reroute their work

Right now Pakistan can take advantage of this.Owing to the construction boom we have millions of unsold stock of apartments and offices .Similarly buildings left unfinished which are a legacy of incomplete government projects can also be utilized. We should install highspeed fibre optic with satellite backhaul using the USF and National ICT R&D Funds of billion rupees which are just lying idle.

Ever since the Pandemic spread E-Commerce has boomed and BPO support has been critical than ever. Now the global hub of BPO India is severely disrupted It's our time to shine

Excellent Idea Shah Ever since 1996,Governments have tried to Utilize Unused Land in Industrial Estates To Establish Software Parks

We Also Have A Large Number of Unemployed Engineers and IT Graduates

Using Unused ICT R&D USF and EDF Funds We Should Establish High Quality Infrastructure and The Take Advantage of The Opportunities You Mentioned. This Trend Of IT Work Shifting to Pakistan Started A While Back

If You Look At My Post I Am Propagating The Same Idea Of Utilizing The Resources Which Are Available To You For Maximum Impact

The next step is to get private schools and madarssahs registered and get their funds into the banking system. The private schools represent a cash economy of Rs 500 billion a year and Madaris Receive well over Rs100 billion a year.Just imagine the growth potential when such massive funds are available at 0%

In my experience, the graduates doesn't know enough and they need a dedicated training of one program.
Like for CAD, i don't think any institution train its students with NX Unigraphics, commercial software.

Anyway, an intermediate company/recruiting or is necessary. That company should know which software is in demand and train students with that software and the target company work ethics/ visa process/ language etc.

Like, if you know CATIA, you can easily learn SoliWorks/Unigraphics.. JAVA and C++ are difficult but you can then easily learn Python. Or better start with Python. Then train students for the job market.

For instance, for CAD software whether it is stress/chemical/dynamic analysis. and programming language for either numerical codes for problem solving, artificial intelligence applications like face/shape/signature verification, or mathematical models for control systems engineering...

In summary a trainee institution for different industries. But it should know (from recruiting agencies) that what is in demand and where..

1. Just gilgit produces 150k tonnes of apricot. All is produced naturally with no human input.
2. Gilgit is tax free zone but people pay taxes even if the company is registered there but operates beyond gilgit boundary.
3. We need proper paper work so that we can make a) scientific method to standardise it b) value addition.
4. To create economic opportunity for farmers.
5. We have some exotic gluten free seeds.
6. We need to export dried foods like Philippines mango, Indian mango, Turkish apricot.
7. Pakistan is sixth largest apricot producer but still imports apricot as nobody preserve apricot and it gets wasted.
@ghazi52 @Blacklight @Imran Khan @Meengla idhar invest karny ka soch lain... but you need to be there, I guess.

I like that he has all the ideas which i have.. and happy that somebody is actually doing it. :smitten::smitten::smitten:
Worth listening

I've read online that a lot of these guys can't really code very well or have poor CV's and very limited professional attitude - like people who show up late at interviews. I think each university course should have a module on this sort of stuff, prepare kids for the workplace. Mine did.
Do we have recruitment agencies in Pakistan. In the UK the vast majority of hiring is done through these agencies who act as middle men finding staff for employers for a fee. It'd be good if we had some that specialised in helping talent get jobs abroad.

My brother in law works for a logistics company in Dubai and he says they hire a lot of South Indians who come into the role, after having applied for it whilst in India. The company hires them and then provides them with a visa. He went to Dubai without a job and worked his way into that role. Clearly Indian job agencies are finding jobs abroad, matching with Indian job seekers and faciliating them to apply for the jobs.

There is an overseas employment agency, and we do a stupid thing called "Protector" i.e. extortion. Which only blue collar workers get scammed into.

somewhat effective... but we need to ramp up our man/project hiring companies..

We need pvt but certified group like Manpower.. But i think we need improved privacy law for that... You know, people, like easy load/top up people used to sell ID copies/girl's number lists to the highest bidder.

100s of jobs in the ME

Protector? Absolutely not! It's just a way of fleecing the poor, the educated white collar workers are too savvy for this kind of nonsense.
