Not sure if your Ambanis or Tatas will take up the guns and rush out to defend Mother India, however when your Agni Pankh sends up it's best fighter to shoot down a balloon and have cricket dreams in joint exercises, it leaves a little to imagination as what would happen if a shooting war starts, who knows the truck trailer for Tejas may prove to be the best invention of DRDO.

You have this ALL figured out, even without manufacturing a car bumper to bumper.

Best of luck, aye! BTW, Ambanis and Tatas can buy you off the shelf like a commodity, they don't need to fight you.

It's futile to try and explain to certain people, anyways about Pakistan's shape , certainly in a conventional scenario it would be what you said , yet when nuclear armed , if the other side crosses a few red lines then won't it be good bye to life on the subcontinent ?

Yes, by Jove, it would.

Since you obviously have not been following the thread, I was responding to a bright young strategic analyst.

Whose keeping you buddy.

Umm, some idiots (not you, never you) with their inane remarks?

I know, that's why I opened by saying it's futile to argue with some people

The geo strategic analogy viz a viz India v Pak is roughly Arabs v Israel.

PAF is not on sleeping pills when it comes to strategizing unlike some of the old goats posting smart quips out of their bed pan installed, Tata Industries Assembled, INDIGENOUS, automated hospital beds in their bedrooms.

The strategic advantage available to Pakistan is its geo strategic location itself...elongated, stretched, cylindrical or shallow...call it what you will but US does not have a border with Israel...not that it makes any difference as it is very much there but so is China smack in the face of India ready to kick *** if there is a threat to its economic corridor or political interest in the region...ouch!

The mere chance of a possibility of open conflict rightnow and for some years to come is enough to raise goosebumps along the slithering spine of our foe, and due to more reasons than the scope of this thread. The very eagerness to go for the Rafael when they already have the super hifi SU30 in their hundreds.

That said, PAF has little time to fill the gaps and prepare for the challenges to be faced due to those Rafaels...so PAF must be oblivious of the task at hand according to the wet dreams of Indian fan boys... reminds me of the time in early Eighties when Pakistan got its F16s...India had nothing close to it for quite some time to come. And the up and down continues...so what else is new...nothing much other than a chance for our bully neighbours to behave just as shallow as they can possibly and even some more.

Fortunately, fanboys or fan-old-bums only get to play smarty pants strategic warriors only thanks to owning something with a keypad and lots of spare time to kill...so what else to do but paint dooms day scenarios to scare some kids.

Rafale would be a threat to Pakistan to some extent , but in just 36 in numbers it won't bring the desired results . having complete Air superiority over Pakistani air space will require more than 100 Rafale, 200+ Su-30 and so on .. but i think its not actually Possible for IAF to do that, as PAF will be introducing AESA radar in JF before 2020 .. along with a Net Centric Fighting Capability and 3 tier Air defense based on HQ-9 , HQ-16 , SPADA 2000 , FM-90/Crotale , Manpads and finally Swiss AA Automatic guns .. pretty decent AD we are talking here

which is the right way to go rather than spending 6-8 billion dollars on single ticket deal

a plus will be extending Jf-17 range with more fuel capacity and CFT so it can able to carry deep strikes and be a more potent platform than its already is in coastal defense

with current fuel capacity its wont be able to do much beyond forward Indian bases(even though it carry guided gps/tv guided stand off weapons(60-120KMs)), CAS for ground troops and coastal defense with its long range antiship missles

we don't need to cross border, Guided bombs and Air launched CM will do the job of striking IA bases and Important Installations .

you would probably need to, If IAF decides to use it long haul Su 30s and move it bases back but that is not what india will do...its against the whole logic of war..indai will want a cold start doctrine..a massive assault with aim to neutralizing the opposition without caring for loses in first 72 hours..

if that is the case IAF will be the aggressive force and in dense environment and will lose easily if it doesn't outnumber PAF by 1:5

At that time it had nothing to do with CSF ... don't get ahead of your self simply.

WoT started in 2001. CSF was already in play by the time Rafale was available for export, and that was all the way in 2007.

We are prepared to deal with an adversary that has far more guided bombs, air launched CM compared to Pakistan.
