View attachment 457866 View attachment 457867 India has purchase new Fighter Jet we all known about it ..but the main point is that "is it a Threat to Pakistan Air force ?" Pakistan Air Force F-16-Block-52 is capable to defend but the huge number of Indian Air force is all ways a threat to Pakistan .. Now the Indian Air force Su-30s. and Rafale .. a huge different machines except all indian Air force fighters ..
Point No. How Pakistan Air force Handel this threat ?
Point No. what choice of Pakistan Air force to buy Su-35, Gripen, or-F-22s because PAF got F-16s just after Israel so F-22 is not a impossible thing according to history.
Point No. 3 . make a Fighter in above standard better then JF-17 thunder?

Dont worry we have almighty democratic forces inform of PPP PMLQ and MQM which are elected by our intelligent super muslim awam and will boost our economy to next level which will then allow pak defence budget to acquire American latest technology.
Now seriously Pakdef is getting boring and childish with such threads.

yes ... Rafael is a threat since quality can beats the quantity, and truth is we dont have quality at par to our enemy nor quantity and no meter how good JF-17 block 3 would be it is clearly not an answer for Rafaels so eventually paksitan will go for some other aircraft and efforts are already underway to induct a 4.5 plus gen fighter that is why pakistani defense personals are studying SU-35 for a quite sometime now. its look like pakistan will not go for J-10 or its any variant coz no considerable efforts have been seen so far in this regard, on the other hand there are great chances that pakistan could participate in J-31 program to reduce the qualitative gap with rivals

It doesn't need Rafales. Any plane will do the job, any plane that can carry such devices. The question is about the shape of Pakistan, remember? Every corner can be reached easily from well within Indian airspace. Every corner but Gwadar, possibly.

But with our small size comes a higher concentration of firepower and the ability to mobilise our forces faster.

What paf is doing to counter it?

Asalamu Alaikum

Project AZM, JF-17 block 3, and FC-31's as soon as they're ready.

by the way in case of FC-31 there are still some issues which are still unresolved and these issues can further delay this program among them first one is according to officials from Avic , the FC-31 was developed entirely from internal company funds, and the program has had no PLA sponsorship. second its a lower cost and less advance design than J-20 and third he FC-31 has been more of a “work in progress” than the J-20. In mid-2017, it was revealed that the aircraft had gone through a major redesign. The “ver 2.0 prototype” is three metric tons heavier and 20 to 30 inches longer. The planform re-design supposedly reduces its RCS. The aircraft’s Russian-made Klimov/Isotov RD-93 engines are supposed to be replaced with a smokeless Chinese engine.

Not at all, just give them some time. The acquisition of 5th gen fighters will balance things out.

Did you even understand the discussion?

It was about not ever having to come into Pakistani airspace.

Before being overcome by these spasms of patriotic fervour, please read what is going on.

It's you who was talking about covering whole Pakistan so it's you who didn't understand the discussion then.

<groan>

It's not about firepower, it's not about faster mobilisation, it's about accessibility, and the greater vulnerability due to your shape.

I was replying - I was TRYING to reply - to a post that said that guarding the eastern frontier was simple because of the shape of your country; almost all parts were close to the eastern border.

<sigh!>
Of course its a threat to Pakistan. Every single Indian plane is a threat including the vintage Mig-21s. The point is how will we deal with this threat.

I think PAF has closed the gap greatly with the IAF since the 1990's. Can you imagine if we went to war in the 90's? PAF didn't have a single plane with BVR capability while IAF had 200 Su-30's. Now we are flying 100 JF-17's and 75 F-16's, each plane with AIM-120 or equivalent capability.

I think the AESA radar in the JF-17 Block 3 and an engine improvement would be critical. We also need to look at the HQ-9 or S-400 system and see if we can deploy them in Pakistan. Due to Pakistan's geographical shape, it won't be too hard to cover the entire Eastern Airspace with SAM coverage.

And vice versa, as far as stand-off weapons and BVR missiles are concerned? What is sauce for the goose.....

With Good pilot skills ,PAF will take care of them easily.

Most realistic and best post on this thread.

Indian air force can have F-22s and alien spaceships but PAF can lock them on from a tricycle.

All thanks to pakistanis born as NASA astronauts by birth. Indians being CEOs of multinationals, patent holders and F1 race participants would just evoparate to oblivion by 70cc moped riding Pakistanis.

Not sure if your Ambanis or Tatas will take up the guns and rush out to defend Mother India, however when your Agni Pankh sends up it's best fighter to shoot down a balloon and have cricket dreams in joint exercises, it leaves a little to imagination as what would happen if a shooting war starts, who knows the truck trailer for Tejas may prove to be the best invention of DRDO.

With our shape comes advantages, such as the concentration of firepower (not talking about firepower in general, I'm talking about concentration, as in more firepower for the same area) and the ability to mobilise forces faster. These are both critical when it comes to fighting wars. We also have the assistance of the terrain, which only makes an invasion even more difficult.

We can also use our missiles to hit every inch of Hindustan, and will use them if forced to.

*groan* *moan* *sigh*

Warfare is all about mobilization. If you can only bring 5 soldiers in time to the frontline when Pakistan brings 10, it doesn't matter if you have 100 soldiers waiting back. 2002 crisis was perfect example of how important mobilization is. Indian forces took months to mobilize giving Pakistan ample time to respond.

OK, you won the war in 2002. May I go now?

Albeit, the PAF checked out the Rafale a decade earlier and even had the opportunity to exercise with and against it, ironically the PAF still opted for the F-16 Block-52s. (Pakistan Flag imposed)

The Rafales were not coming in through CSF.

It's futile to try and explain to certain people, anyways about Pakistan's shape , certainly in a conventional scenario it would be what you said , yet when nuclear armed , if the other side crosses a few red lines then won't it be good bye to life on the subcontinent ?
