CWG will be better than Beijing Olympics: Kalmadi

It take guts to have image as "Corrupt" and still "Confident" to utter "Bull $****".. down to Kalmadi:tdown:.. even if it succeeds we should not enjoy its success as this will be celebration of corruption..

.
then why are you in canada now? why u deserted yr country? non of you here have the right to talk to me about patriotism since you all deserted yr country for a better life abroad.

Well it seems someone by sitting in UK is having a good life and lecturing others about patriotism.

You are out buddy and members plzzz keep the discussion as per topic.

.
My chinese friends.. in this thread we need to scold and blame collectively Mr Kalmadi with his BS dreams.. you can talk to each other threads later on..

.
In fact, I agree with you, we will apologize for interrupting the normal discussion. However, there are Indians in the defense, still believe he is a possible, so some may oppose.

That is their (other Indian fellow) POV and I respect the same. Frankly speaking, I know how it is going to happen. The games will happen just above the average. People who are angry now will be happy to see this "Pomp and Show" and then we will forget. GoI will suspend 1 or 2 people and will appreciate other CWG team. Case will be settled and then there will be new game again with higher corruption.

That is the worst of both world. No lesson would be drawn from the CWG experience and Kalmadi would get off with a slap on the wrist. I want to the games to run smoothly but IMO it'd almost be worth it have it botched so you can clean the house of these corrupt officials.

India's corruption beyond my imagination, when I know something, I can not understand why India is "democratic state", the people's supervision where? China is not a democratic country, but anywhere there is so corrupt, angry public opinion will drown it, the Chinese government to maintain their legitimate rule, must cater to the public, So that corruption in China is difficult to exist, it is clear that China government pay more attention to people public opinion than the “democracy India”.Or India's democracy is only a game, actually is not true.

I have a feeling that this corrupt problem is allowed to exist because of the fractured nature democratic politics in India. Every voting district has it's own concerns and voting environment, while everyone knows corruption is bad, corruption far away in another province is not really that important.

Besides I think the politicians themselves try as hard as they can to keep a lid on the outrage against corruption by token investigation and token persecutions.

The first part, I agree, do have this, but why can not effect the local supervision, higher-level departments monitored?

The second part, the actual situation in China also, but no such chaos and corruption of India, so I want to say that democracy in the end is what?

There are lots and lots of countries that are democratic, but not all are corrupt.
The people are corrupt so there is corruption, it starts from the top and goes down to the lowest level.

No any one model is perfect, even socialism seems rosy on papers, but the reality is other wise.
Dictator ship is nothing but but iron rule, a form of slavery.

I think china has modelled its economy perfectly, by being socialist so caring for its poor, and capitalist for industry growth.

That is what democracy is, it does not matter, as long as we all "believe", even if they are word games.

History of the development of East Asia is in fact the history of authoritarian development, Asian tigers and China, Japan's development all through this stage, while other Asian countries, democracy has faced confusion, severe corruption and incompetent governance. What is the problem facing developing countries, the so-called democracy in the end is what? Democracy is no wrong, all wrong, not democracy, this is a belief? Religion? Well, I have always thought that the greatest democracy the role is to make everyone believe in democracy, not based on deep reason, but a "anesthesia believe, I believe". Really, this is kind of a good thing conducive to social stability.
Democracy are also some real good things, however, developing countries, not bring it the whole "democracy", "democracy is a basket, fill it installed everything," really a bad way. Need to be "democratic" Open it, tell all things, choose the good, now usable, practical living, not faith, but also requires the development of democracy, faith is not conducive to high-level development.

With just over a month to go, terrorists pull out of CWG

New Delhi. The Commonwealth Games has nothing to fear from the terrorists, if a video released by a jihadist group is to be believed. Speaking through a handkerchief tied over his face, Abdul, the leader of self-proclaimed “next-big-thing” Islamist group Al-Makaroon, shrugged his shoulders and appeared to sigh to the camera.

“What can we do?” he said, shrugging Gallicly and almost dropping his AK-47, “we normally target infrastructure and aim for maximum disruption. We like to be famous and feared.”

As Delhi rushes to turn mosquito infested wastelands into mosquito infested wastelands capable of hosting a minor sporting event, opportunities for the group have dwindled.

“We could spend ages sorting out ingenious, foolproof plans to blow things up so that everyone would tremble when they heard our name”, said Abdul, “But what’s the point? Bomb a bridge and people will assume it just collapsed, bomb a games venue and people will think the organizers have cut corners, pocketed the money and the things have just fallen down.”

The group cannot compete with the CWG for funds. “We have whatever we can scrape together to fund our attacks through elderly relatives and Sajad’s underwear business”, he continued, “the CWG has had billions to mess up the city with, how can we compete? It’d be like pissing against the tide.”

However, having abandoned attacks on the CWG, the group has been able to divert funds to other purposes such as enlisting tough, chiseled actors to appear in their video releases, setting up a gaudy website with an overbearing theme tune you can’t turn off and issuing each of the group’s six members an official membership ID cards.

Security analyst, Vijay Prasad, agrees that terror threat to the CWG is low: “Such is the press frenzy against the games, Delhi could quite easily come under nuclear attack and people would still blame the games organizers. I mean, a mushroom cloud looks very much like the dust cloud which arises when a large building, like a stadium, collapses.”

Games organizers have been quick to point out that this, in fact, was the plan all along. “The twin towers were big, shiny and finished”, said one of the organizers Arun Shah, “a nice shiny, target for Mr. Terrorist. The rustic state of our venues means they are less attractive to the terrorists, plus, we have planned a few extra security measures; three main venues are due to fall down during the games as decoys”, explains Shah, “and several dummy venues will not open at all” he added.

I second that
Government is by the people for the people and of the people

but if people are corrupt it is
Government by the corrupt for the corrupt and of the corrupt

But i think India is changing with economic progress more transperacy are coming to system
The Right to information act will empower people to Kick these corrupt people
