Jana - We were awarded these games in 2003 and we were supposed to to complete them in 2008.

Its not that we are not capable of holding such events but this games is a combination of Corruption + disastrous project planning and execution. Initially GoI gave no attention to it since the CWG organizing committee is autonomous. They relied on kalmadi but that donkey has proved what he is capable of.

Nothing to do with ego. If everything is in place, we are more than capable to organize such events.

What you dont realize that CWG organizing agency was autonomous and GoI paid zero attention as they better work to do.

Only Kalmadi and 2/3 other ppl were handling everything. But Kalmadi was the BOSS over here.

So low are the expectations from the Commonwealth Games that all they need is for the microphone to be working when the oath is taken or Indian athletes to last the opening ceremony without fainting and it will be declared a ‘grand success’
