CRPF man killed in Liberia attack, weapon traced to Pak officer

A CRPF constable was killed and another injured in firing in their camp in Zwedru in Liberia where they are deployed as part of UNMIL (UN Mission in Liberia). A weapon used in the attack and later found at the spot has been traced to a Lt Murad, posted with a Pakistani contingent.

Confirming the incident, CRPF Director General Vikram Srivastava told The Indian Express: “One of our boys expired in the unfortunate incident in which a Pakistani officer posted there was involved. All details of the incident which we got from the Liberia office have been sent in a report to Joint Secretary (UN) in the Ministry of External Affairs.”

The incident occurred at 4.45 am on June 8 when constables Jeet Singh and Kaptan Singh were on duty at their posts at the CRPF camp. According to reports, an “unidentified” man in fatigues entered the Indian camp and began firing indiscriminately.

Where, in the whole news, is Pakistani military clamed to be terrorists? Or even the blame of firing the shot is given to any Pakistani personal?

Good to see a Pakistani soldier can go into indian army camp and start to kill.
Bad to see this has not happened during war time.

So the act is condemnable IF its true.

Commend , let me see if i get you right

 for killing Indian's and
 for not getting away with it.

Now , i am certainly in no position to judge but the words i would use would be more akin to

Murder , hate crime , inciting terror.

Foreign troops on a foreign soil, fighting their battles 1000km from home . What if anyone was caught in the crossfire.

This has damaged UN reputation to be an international force.

.
If it is indeed proved to be true then it will surely bring a bad name for Pakistan.

.
Why would someone kill using their ammo and gun when it can be traced back? Especially in Liberia how hard it could be to buy something off the streets? Clearly someone running a campaign to put bad name for PA!!

.
They should investigate this, we owe this much to our Indian counterparts in the interest of transparency and goodwill. Personally i will wait till additional information comes through before commenting further on this issue.

Condolences on the loss of your serviceman, may his soul rest in peace.
