I thought of a interesting critical thinking question for you all to try and solve, and I think it's pretty thought-provoking.

Knowing the currency exchange rate between the Pakistani Rupee and US Dollar, at what numerical value or rate are the two currencies numerically equal to each other?

Hint: I am not asking for the currency exchange rate i.e. 1 US dollar = 95 Pakistani Rupees. But when do both the number of Rupees in value equal the number of US dollars in value.

Good luck.

Bump Can anyone figure it out?

One can measure the real exchange rate between two countries in terms of a single representative good—say the Big Mac, the McDonald’s sandwich of which a virtually identical version is sold in many countries. In other words PKR will have same exchange rate with US Dollar when a McDonald’s sandwich in Pakistan cost the same as that of in US.This is the most simple way.

It is a tricky question, in other words, when does the numerical value of PKR equal the same numerical value of USD? Numerical value simply meaning a number.

So # of PKR = # of USD have to be the same number...

:cheesy: Anyway it will be PKR 0 = USD = 0, Numerical value is same

Correct. Only when 0 PKR = 0 USD are both the currencies equal the same value and same number.
