Cricket World Cup 2015

Almost less than a month left. So let's start discussing world cup!

1) Who do you think is going to win (obviously your home country)?
2) Who do you think is top team to win (country with best squad/players)?
3) Who do you think deserves to win most?


1) I hope to see Pakistan winning, but currently, it seems very unlikely with the bans, injuries and medicores pacers.
2) I think Australia is going to win. Their players have been performing very good in the test series and only the captain (AFAIK) has injury problem.
3) The Kiwis should win however. Mccullum has been such a great captain for NZ. NZ also has never won the world cup. Though South Africa hasn't won it either, but NZ looks to be in advantage (somewhat home grounds) and an excellent squad (beat Pakistan in home ground too!)

For the squad, Hafeez should be dropped. He won't be bowling it seems like and his batting against pace is bad (remember steyn?). We've Afridi for the spin and other 3-4 bowlers should be pacers, considering the pitches of hosts. Sohail can also be good 5th bowler. We're really lacking good pacers this cup. These pitches are brilliant for scoring, so having 7-able batsmen will be needed to make up for loss of excellent bowlers.

Shehzad, Younis, Misbah, Sohail, Afridi, Junaid and Irfan are must for this cup.

Whoever moved this, this shouldn't be under Pakistan affairs, as this is world cup. Please move back to member's club. It's more appropriate than sports under Pakistan affairs, as it'll attract mostly Pakistanis.

That I know, as mentioned in the post as well, but it falls under Pakistan Affairs.

Maybe have a new section for multi-nation sport events I suppose.

Do I sense the repeat of 1992.. If Misbah could inspire the way Imran did... same conditions, Kiwis in form.. Australia has its problem.. SA chokers, West Indies have their set of problems. England unpredictable... India whether there is unity in team?? Srilanka Sanga and Jayawardane have their best time surpassed but are unpredictable..

Then who will....

I think Pakistan gonna surprise all...

Funny Sohail was dropped, when he was told he would be part of 2015 cup. He dropped the offer of big bash, valued at 70lakh rupees. He'll be quite upset right now. Also not sure why Hafeez was included when he is weak against pace.
