Very proud secular here. And I'm most definitely not a fan of western culture. But Bhartiya Sanskriti isn't one bit appealing either. Dowry, Patriarchy, Inequality, etc are all drawbacks most certainly connected to culture.
And most secularists I know have much higher IQs than the kulcha-protectors. Don't worry about us being brainwashed.

The language did not disappear naturally. If that was so, it would have been a different case. The language was made to disappear by foreign conquerors.

Tell me, why exactly are we learning English then? Why is English the link language over Sanskrit? Why was English introduced in India?

By the same token, you can now say that let us stop teaching Hindi/Tamil/Telugu and learn English and French as the languages in school.

Commerce does not dictate every decision we take in our lives and in our country.

If a poll is the answer to everything then when English was introduced to India(centuries ago), had there been a poll conducted on whether it should be taught or not, most Indians would have voted 'No'.

Try to enroll ur kids in a hindi medium school first.

That is exactly the point. Stockholm syndrome seems evident in you.
That to get good jobs we have to know English and all is the result of promoting English over our languages.
Why dont you go to Japan and try the same there. Japanese language is considered more prestigious while English is just another foreign language.

When we abandon our language(s), we are abandoning the most integral part of our culture.
I for one am fully in support of this move to keep Sanskrit over German in schools. The children are free to learn German or Spanish on their own time. In fact, I would encourage children to learn German after they have started learning Sanskrit.

Why?
My kids would write and speak Hindi very fluently along with English just as I can. And believe me my education is one of the finest that this country can offer.

They would not however become one of those who cannot count in Hindi and resort to English midway.
