Yes, a thread running in hundreds of pages without a single photo of MKI shooting down. The surprise is that the title of thread id two Indian planes shot down in Pakistani air space. Mig 21 photo surfaced immediately but MKI photo never came. We know very well which that other plane was and who were those other two pilots were.

Sweden had being designing aircraft for decades and dont get me wrong gripped is an incredible aircraft but so is the jf17 and its evolving. Due to american componenets it's a big No No for Pakistan

But On the other hand Gripen only has some components in it....But a big NO for it can explain why?

We have invested a lot in F-16s. As per some members here MLUs were supposed to take place in Kamra until Turkey asked US. We have complete overhaul facilities.
Wjat Gripen will offet that F-16s can't???

Why the hell would SAAB deny?

It would be against the law of Sweden to sell to Pakistan, due to the political instability with military coup etc.
When Musharraff showed interest during a visit to Sweden, he was told that it was ”out of the question”. Pakistans interest in EriEye had less problems since it in a different category where the rules are less strict.

No, the cost of Gripen E is actually around $56M for Sweden.
The contract is $3,6B for 60 aircraft.

Gripen was not mature enough until SAAB got the deal from Brazil.

Gripen has been mature for about 20 years, Brazil is buying the third generation.

But it took us 20 years to put these avionics in JF-17......
Also there is a class difference between
Gripen and jf-17
One is medium and a the other is light

It's a great aircraft no doubt about it. Just like F-16. But like F-16 we will have restricted capabilities. We cant put anything on F-16 unlike on JF-17. In this way we don't utilize the platform completely and which translates in wastage of money.

Gripen E is designed so that the customer can add new weapons without having to get help or approval from the manufacturer or any pissed off Superpower.
