"The coronavirus death toll in Spain has climbed to 3,434, surpassing China in overall number of deaths.

Spain recorded 738 deaths in the past 24 hours, its deadliest toll in a single day. It is now the second country in the world with the highest number of deaths from Covid-19, behind Italy.


China says it recorded 3,287 deaths, while Italy's death toll stands at more than 6,800.


The overall number of cases in Spain increased by 20 percent to 47,610 from 39,673 on Tuesday, said Spain's Ministry of Health."

China has 12% population of 65+ years olds..

Nearly 30% of the corona cases belonged to 65+ years.

Not everyone believes in God but these two episodes are evidence that humans are abusing the planet's resources - both plant and animal.

Humans need to make greater efforts to live in co-existence with the world rather than ravage it for greed and profit.

Whilst that is true, there is also the case of cultural differences. You will find that Italians and Spanish people are culturally very similar to Asian people as in the families are highly integrated and revolve around their old family members.
There is a reason why UK government was pushing people not to go see their mothers on mothering sunday. They are trying to reduce the contact old people have with the young people.

Also their habit of greeting each other, a peck on the cheek means closer contact than in other european countries.

Oh we submitted plans to supply self-contained tents into stadiums. The original plan was to convert football stadiums and cricket stadiums across the countries in heavy affected areas into hospitals for COVID-19.
Imagine how many beds you can create by converting these grounds to hospitals.

Yes, when the capacity of health system is 100% utilized, even young who require hospitalization start dying.

If we notice, in Wuhan the death rate was higher because Wuhan was badly affected.. and the hospitals were unable to provide needed care to patients who required hospitalization.

Looks like the Army is coming in very useful both with preparing these huge sites and also transporting the vital medical equipment to hospitals.

UK public needs to see this so they support the military in future from the politicians who always want to cut their funding.

The NEC in Birmingham may also be converted into a massive temporary hospital and the owners of the arena have pledged their full support.

Good to see that everyone working together efficiently on this now.
