Featured CoronaVirus in Pakistan - Updates & Discussion

Actually, I am more afraid of this Eid than the last one because people have started to get bolder/reckless now
.
And i am more afraid of Moharam. There will be case surge on eid.. There is no ifs and buts about it but what muharam processions can do is mind boggling.

Youm ali followed by eid ul fitr lead to a substantial increase in corona pts and similarly the initial surge at eid ul azha followed a month later by moharam processions is a recipe for disaster.

this shows how poor understanding of religion we have got. we celebrate religious events even if they lead to deaths of thousands. lives of thousands will be adversely affected but we dont care. IMO on this eid muslims should give sadqa rather then animal sacrifice. animal meat is a sorce of spread of virus and the world has seen so many cases in which almost the antire staff working in slaughter houses got infected with corona. even china reported corona virus in imported meat. there will be huge gatherings in bakra mandi and thousands will get infected. but our mullah and vast majority of our nation dont understand religion.

the official gov of pak site today has some problem. the graphs shown are terrirbly wrong.

These provinces will not be liable for the loan repayment. He advised the Provincial Planning Departments, the Provincial Literacy and Education Departments, and the Finance Departments to coordinate and lay-out a comprehensive provincial response.

22 people died in Sindh, 12 people in Punjab, 9 people in KPK, 2 people in GB and 1 people in Islamabad. Looks like Punjab and KPK have way past their peaks and Sindh has recently past its peak.

Pakistan has managed Covid exceptionally well. We have all criticized the government, many of us have called for complete lockdown.
To be honest, the way we have balanced our economy and smart lockdown is exceptional. Probably taking least economic hit in the entire region. It is easy to say this in words but very hard to achieve.
IK was right all along and most of the members even in this highly educated forum were wrong and heavily criticized him. The media was the most shameful character in this entire episode, when uneducated anchors do talkshows for vested interests, who have probably never heard of the term virus or pandemic in their entire life give their opinion as experts. I can see their disappointment clearly as situation improves.

Anyways extreme caution is needed for eid and moharram, or we can see the same situation as Iran is witnessing right now.
