Construction of Railway Line upto China Border

. . . .
I do not know about other routes, but if they made the BILASPUR-MANALI -LEH track,
I am pretty much sure it will be among the most beautiful routes in the world.

.
I was talking about rail link between two not-too-friendly nations :D

Chinese have tone down aggressive attitude towards India because the Chinese are more involved in South China Sea.

Improving relations with Japan and ASEAN countries have changed the whole regional balance.

Good work by NSA. Credit goes to Ajit Doval.

"In 2008, construction of 804 kms of road length along India-China border was approved but due to some reasons, 804 kms road length could not be constructed but 191 km road length has been set up and work is on for the rest (613 kms) of the project," he said

So for the past 7 years Indian government has laid only 191 km of roads in that region...Can you just estimate how much China would have laid on its side for the past 7 years??? This really shows that central government is neglecting its northeastern and some states when implementing its schemes....

.
The lack of progress is disturbing. A highway and rail line covering our entire Himalayan border shouldve been done decades ago.

.
Thanks China for the inspiration. :enjoy:
Now we should follow your lead to build rapid deployment infrastructure.
Nice one buddy :p:

LOL it took more than 60 years to get a leader with balls of steel :flame:. :agree:

Have you seen the terrain difference on both sides of the border?
The Chinese side is all plains and plateau and some hills while we have high elevation mountains mostly.

Go on a road trip to Lachung or Yumthang valley if possible. You will really appreciate the work the BRO has done there. Also the scenery is a big plus point.

Even from the army building at the Nathula pass you can observe the terrain difference and lack of Chinese tourists there.

.
India to put the "antique" train to the Chinese border.
Why?

To provide give the Chinese entertainment?
