But here its about the saving which belongs to the people. Just cant understand , If Ukrainian currency has exchange with Russian Rubles in Crimea via Banks then have that currency was retaken by Ukrainian central bank and what about the loans money ?

You said currency notes were burnt but why would Russian Federation will burn hard cash ?

Reuters is a mouthpiece of the US government which hates Russia.

But still the questions are valid.

Ukraine lost all its money in Crimea by virtue of losing Crimean War 2.

How the money is lost when that money is hard cash ? Why would Russian Federation will burn valid Ukrainian currency when Russian Federation can use that money in trade ? So how much Ukrainian currency reserves Russian banks are holding in Crimea ?

These days economy is fake and money is digital number in a digital account. The money was burned digitally.

Real Trade between countries is not done like that. But roughly do you have any idea how much Ukrainian currency reserves Russian Federation banks are holding ?

Again show proof of so-called "discrimination"towards ethnic germans in Crimea. Also educate yourself what kind of conditions need to meet under which a language is given status of official in Russia.Or alternatively keep showing your ignorance as you always do.

Certain parts of our cities have over 20% Turks. I don't see anyone demanding Turkish to become an official language. I would be at the front to fight against any such demands.

We will take Berlin one day soon. Mark my words :-) We'll make you speak Russian, forget how to speak German, make you change German names to Russian names tee hee

you do realize what nonsense you talk?

This is simply hilarious. So they are expecting Ukrainian gov to pay them after they voted for Russia?

lol yeah, what even more amazing is that the Ukraine unrest startee on April this year, yet Ukrainian Government only just stopped social welfare payment on October,

Ukraine Government have been sponsoring its own seperation movement for 8 months lol

I was like WTF...

So have the Russian Federation returned back Ukrainian currency to Ukrainian central bank ?

you cant juat pull out a legal tender overnight, its not like you can suddejly change a currency from Ukrainian hrynvia to rouble just like that. If they were done like that that the demand of rouble will spike and the hrynvia will worth nothing in crimea.

If thats so, i would not want to be the last one (or last couple of person to exchange them to rouble

What most likely happened would be Crimea would use rouble as well as hrynvia as tender currency and ween off hrynvia circulation, then either store those hrynvia as.reserveor return them to Ukraine.

Ruble become the only valid currency in Crimea and Ukrainian currency was given the status of a foreign currency and on March 24 2014 it was declared that taxes and fees in Crimea and Sevastopol will be paid in rubles only, and wages to the workers of budget-receiving organizations will also be made in rubles and circulation of the Ukrainian currency will be there till 1st January 2016.

Yesterday there was one article that 191.8 million Ukrainian currency was freezed in one private bank , so now the question comes this is real currency , what Russian Federation will do with it ?

Bailiffs freeze 660 mln rubles in PrivatBank's assets in Crimea

"As part of the enforcement proceedings from November 24 to December 5, the bailiffs found UAH 191.8 million in cash owned by PrivatBank, which corresponds to 665.68 million Russian rubles at the foreign-currency exchange rate of the Russian Central Bank. All monetary assets have been arrested," the agency said in a press release obtained by Interfax on Friday.

being an official currency is diffenent of being a legal tender

You can have an official currency yet still accept a fore8gn currency for legal trading

Taiwan official currency is NTD but you can buy stuff in taiwan paying USD, and sometime RMB

Hong Kongofficial currency is HKD but both HKD and RMB are legal tender

Swedish official currency is SWK yet you canEuro is accepted as legal tender

The Ukrainian currencybin the bank is not really the issue here as the bank can simply stove it and not release back into circulation and issue Rouble instead
the money that held privately is a concern, as reserve in bank usually only made of od 30 to 40 percents of total currency in the region. Meaning the private hold majority if the.currency at any given time.

If you stop accepting Ukranian money as legal tender and forcible have to in line exchange to Rouble, then On what exchange rate should they do it with? Seing that rouble face value depreciated 40 percent and maybe more in a few months, that mean 40% of crimea saving is gone if a fixed exchange rate is established

If they hage any sense of economy, they will oeep Ukrainian money in tender but hold off their circulation that way the impact would not be as great

but either way, crimeian would go poorer in the end of the day.

and the russian can either hang on to the extra ukrainian currency as reserve or they can paid it back to Ukrainian government

If it is the first case, UkrAnian government would simple print kore money and wipe off those held by Russian, that would hage an expired value to Russian reserve (they cant use it) or if that is the later case, nothing will happen to dither side

Here the case is somewhat different because Ukrainian currency was/is a valid currency which was made as foreign currency and Ruble was declared official currency of Crimea and a time during was fixed that till January 2016. Private banks started to work in which population was allowed to exchange Ukrainian currency with Rubles and now this 191 million Ukrainian currency is being confiscated by the Russian authorities of Crimea.

So here does the Russian authorities of Crimea will sell this Ukrainian currency as foreign currency in International market ? Recently Russian federation has sold foreign currency reserves. The Bank of Russia said it sold $420 million on Dec. 19 and $500 million on Dec. 18. So which foreign currency reserves were sold by Russian Federation ?

You cant just Sell foreign currency, unlike domestic currency, where you can find buyee domestically easily. Selling a foreign currency would usually mean ti find a buyer for you to takeit off your hand.

mostly you sell them back to the country that issue that currency ro balance the exchange rate. In this case, it would be going back to ukraine.

Depend on 2 factors

1.) Would it cost less to reprint and write off thw currency currently in Crimea? Highly unlikely as rouble is now depreciated heavily meaning Ukrainian would enjoy a discounted buy

2.) Would Russian bet on their own currency to bounce back, then either the Crimeian would need to keep thw Ukrainian money in circularion to fend off local depreciation or they literally put them in a barn and ler them rot before rouble bounce back

Russian Federation has sold foreign currency including hard cash i think on 17th December 2014.

The Interfax news agency reported that Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseyev said Russia would sell its reserves in foreign currencies to counter a drop that threatens the Russian economy.
By selling dollars and other hard currencies from its huge reserves, Russia hopes to support the ruble's price.

umm. they HAVE to sell USD reserve to take back some rouble to counter the depreciation.

However, Russian, like many country have a limited USD reserve and if the sanction continue they can probably sell their US reserve one last time then the market should be saturated.

Like I said, you need a taker when you are selling. Selling USD is easy as they are international trade currency but selling Ukrainian money? I would imagine that to be harder to find a buyer for it
