working legally or illegally or not at the end of the day the Ukrainian bank note have to be valued by Ukranian Reserve bank. It does not matter which country is holding said note.

So at the end of the day, If ukrainian reserve bank did not value that note, thbe yes, it will he like you said, it would worth nothing but merely the value of the paper it printed on

Again, whether or not Ukrainian Reserve bank do that woukd be a whole new question altogether

If around 6 billion Ukranian currency was there during the time of Annexation of Crimea. How much currency is Russian Federation is holding ?

0. Crimea is a federal district of Russia. As such, the only currency in Crimea is Russian ruble.

if i knew the answer to this question, i would have bet on or against both rouble and ukrainian currency and made.some money.

I am thinking about those people who have lost their savings and going through all the ups and downs.

Already one case of 191 million Ukrainian currency has came out that's why i started to check how much money was there and came to know around 6 billion Ukrainian currency.

The leader of the self-styled region hopes to transfer payments to the Russian ruble in the long-term

Insurgents in eastern Ukraine's Luhansk region will take control of strategically important enterprises, according to its leader.
Major factories and mines, active or disused, will be targeted by the militants for quote ‘nationalisation'.

In a press conference, the leader of the Luhansk People's Republic Igor Plotnitsky said that if the owners of abandoned enterprises had run away, then they would take it under their control and put it into operation.

Russia's TASS news agency quoted Plotnitsky as saying all payments will be made in Ukraine's national hryvnia currency over the next couple of months although they would transfer to the ruble in the long-term.

NBU recognizes eight banks as pillars of banking system

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has recognized eight banks as systemically important, in particular, state-owned Oschadbank and Ukreximbank, as well as PrivatBank, Delta Bank, Ukrsotsbank, Raiffeisen Bank Aval, Prominvestbank and Subsidiary Bank Sberbank of Russia.

The NBU said in a press release on Tuesday that according to the central bank's resolution of December 25, No. 863, which comes into force on January 1, 2015, the major criteria for systemic importance are total assets, liabilities of legal entities and individuals, the amount of interbank lending and lending to the most important sectors of the economy.

However, setting certain banks as pillars of the banking system does not require the state's participation in their capital, and such a decision is made by the expert and analytical council on the state's participation in the authorized capital of banks under the Ukrainian Finance Ministry, reads the statement.

The NBU's press service also reported that the NBU would soon finalize the drafting of legal acts concerning the regulation and supervision of systemically important banks, which, in particular, envisage additional requirements for the capital of such banks.


So now what will happen with those 191 million Ukranian currency which was confisticated in Crimea recently ?

New 100-hryvnia banknotes will be introduced in Ukraine| Ukrinform

KYIV, December 26 /Ukrinform/. The National Bank of Ukraine puts into circulation new UAH 100 banknotes, the banknotes of 2014 will be better protected.

It is reported by depo.ua with reference to the press service of the regulator.

Banknotes are issued to improve the organization of cash circulation and, within the frames of the planned issue for 2015, to replace worn, damaged and withdrawn from circulation banknotes.

New banknotes will be presented December 29 with participation of National Bank governor Valeria Hontareva.
