Staff Major General (SEA) Abdullah Bin Hassan Al Sulaiti, Commander Qatar EMIRI Naval Forces (QENF) called on Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi at Naval Headquarters, Islamabad.

Upon arrival at Naval Headquarters, the visiting dignitary was received by Chief of the Naval Staff. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy presented Guard of Honour. The visiting dignitary was then introduced to Chiefs of Staff and Principal Staff Officers at Naval Headquarters.

Later, Commander Qatar EMIRI Naval Forces called on Chief of the Naval Staff in his office. During the meetings matters of mutual interest including bilateral collaborations and regional security issues were discussed. The Naval Chief highlighted Pakistan Navy’s efforts for ensuring maritime security and peace in the region through Regional Maritime Security Patrols. Chief of the Naval Staff also thanked Commander Qatar EMIRI Naval Forces for participation of QENF in recently conducted Multinational Maritime Exercise AMAN-19 in Pakistan. The visiting dignitary highly appreciated and acknowledged Pakistan Navy’s efforts and commitments in support of collaborative maritime security in the region and successful conduct of Exercise AMAN. Later, a comprehensive brief was also given to the Qatari delegation.

Visit of Naval Headquarters was followed by an impressive investiture ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Saddar, where Staff Major General (SEA) Abdullah Bin Hassan Al Sulaiti was conferred with Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) by President Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi.

It is expected that the recent visit of Commander Qatar EMIRI Naval Forces will further enhance bilateral collaboration between the two countries in general and Navies in particular.

100,000 jobs: President Alvi appreciates Qatar’s decision for Pakistani workers

ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi conferred Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) upon Staff Maj Gen (Sea) Abdullah Bin Hassan Al-Sulaiti, Commander Qatar Emiri Naval Forces in a special investiture ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Monday.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi NI(M) and senior officers were also present in the ceremony.

Later, Commander Qatar Emiri Naval Forces called on the President.

On the occasion, the President congratulated him and stated that Pakistan attaches great importance to its brotherly relations with Qatar.

The President appreciated the regular participation of Qatar Emiri Naval Forces in Pakistan Navy exercises “AMAN”.

He noted with satisfaction that both the Navies were in regular interaction and emphasized the need to further enhance operational interaction between the two Navies.

The President underlined that Pakistan is very keen to diversify its export to Qatar especially in the sectors of construction material, pharmaceuticals, engineering goods, medical equipment, sports goods and fabrics.

The President underscored that Pakistan is very conducive for foreign investment.

He invited Qatari investors to invest in Pakistan in various sectors especially tourism.

President Alvi also appreciated Qatar’s decision to extend visa on arrival facility for Pakistanis and its approval for employment of 100,000 workers from Pakistan.

Commander Qatar Emiri Naval Forces thanked the President and the Government of Pakistan on being awarded with Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) and hoped that cooperation between the Navies of the two countries will continue to expand in future.
