You people are arguing on an old issue which could be discussed in “Pakistani Corner” or “Whatever”.

ma na tu support kia ha...:o:o_O
@Moonlight, I was dragged here (i.e. mentioned) and did not come here on my own accord.

Don't forget Benazirs and Zardari's assets too and all the other illgotten fortune amassed illegitimately by Pakistani so called elite.

Why are our general's spending a lot of time in foreign countries? Bit risky isn't having all our top generals together in one place, I hope they didn't fly together on the same plane.

What are they doing in the UK? Strange things going on.

UK needs business outside Europe after triggering article 50, Pakistan military are Pakistans largest buyers of defense products (UK is a major exporter); and also have some degree of influence over foreign relations

Maybe Sajid Javid and the Pakistan lobby there has convinced them to get on Pakistans good side, in order to get orders or increased bilateral trade?

I dont see why else all these generals would show up unless a major agreement is being discussed.

.
I feel like the only person to point out that COAS needs to cut back on these foreign tours. Pakistan's economy is in doldrums and the nation cannot afford to divert the already dwindling resources for the affairs that bring little to no gains. Incase its on necessity grounds, why an extensive detail is tagging along, defies logic. @Mentee Whats your say on this?
The Special Jet gonna touch the English tarmac anyways so why not take an entourage with? Goro'n ka Roti ka or rental cars ka kharcha brhy ga just keep 1947 in mind :pakistan:

UK is a source of western technologies and has a lot things to offer. It is home to many great names in defence industry. Pakistan should keep its options open.

UK&US close relationship and high maintenance are usually the biggest drawbacks from buying from them, It must be a really important product or something else is being discussed

He has comprehension Problems. I am Not an Idiot that I would advocate for blasphemy laws yet commit the crime myself.

You are mature enough to put two plus two together.

@Khafee is my witness.
My sincere advice (if thou should choose to follow), avoid making statements on theological matters that could be genuinely misconstrued by other good folk, I will leave it at that.Regards Sidd

We are still proud of British Raj. No need to turn a blind eye to that reality.

Once attended a gathering. Former FM Hina Khar was talking about her elders' services for Raj, "Proudly". A Turk friend of mine was looking at me with wide-open eyes.
BTW, check how Shah Mahmood Qureshi cunningly killed Ahmed Khan Kharal, a man standing against Raj, and how today's Shah Mahmood Qureshi is proud of this act of his grandfather.

It's not important what we say about ourselves. Important is what people say about us and people say we are proud of our slavery period.

How stupid one must be to label a nation of 200 million on the accounts of a select few? We're three times the size of Italy and quite familiar with rule of law so stick to the topic: Chief wasn't there as a slave to the "British Raj" he was there because he commands the Army of a strategic ally.

Why not? when reached at the doors of old colonial master.

Not one in the world the proud of slavery, except Pakistanis.
chiefs meet each other and call on each other on professional matters if their respective countries are not hostile to each other.
its a army to army contact of two friendly countries who exchange officers and men on courses and training.
nothing much to it. Pakistani chief also visits countries like Sri Lanka

relax now, its 2018.

Stupid! if you go to loose words, I will reply you in more loose words and you will not feel easy!
Go an check your Pakistan Panel Code 1860, go and check your Pakistan police act of 1861, go and check the history of army units and how they are proud of their colonial history, and how proudly it is presented to foreign visitors. Civil service act of Pakistan, and so on. How one can be so stupid to consider these as few individuals?

A free citizen can understand this mentality, not a slave of slave!
You were once slaves of Raj, but now you are slaves of slaves of the Raj, slaves of kala Angrez, which they purposefully left to rule you.

Absolute rubbish post. Take your meds little buddy.

Bro what you are saying is correct but your argument has 2 flaws ...

1. You are over generalizing it on everyone. Thw phenomena you are referring to is applicable on landlords like shah mehmood qureshi, bhutto and chaudhris i.e. the persons who sold thw nation.
2. Your statement is not aplicable on this visit as it is just an attempt to create military ties and has no reference to our colonial era ...
