US Lobby in Pakistan is stronger than China Lobby. What will China do? That’s the big question.

For many years, China and Russia have been preparing and propping Pakistan to move in their direction.
If China did not know that this day would arrive, and was not already prepared for it; then China does not deserve to be the world power. This moment is as deciding for Chinese dreams, as for Pakistan.

Pakistan will need economic stability, support, exports, and rupee stability for next two years. Pakistan will have to pay some price.

After 2 years, things will get better.

Wdym? If a US friendly person is installed, wouldn’t they start neglecting CPEC?

CPEC is widely supported in Pakistan. No leader will stop it.

When PTI-led GOP came to power, it reviewed CPEC projects due to economic considerations and to address relevant queries of IMF. Opposition members including Shahbaz Sharif attempted to politicize this issue by accusing PTI-led GOP of being Anti-CPEC but Asad Umar cautioned all to not do this.

CPEC has never stopped - its developments are well-documented. Some projects can be reviewed and revisited when better alternatives are identified which is fine.

Bilateral relations with USA can be managed separately. But PTI-led GOP had no homework on this front.

Exactly so China will pressurise state by threatening to pull out investments through CPEC. They don't want US Lobby in power here either as it will go againt their interests

China will not stop CPEC. This is baseless speculation. CPEC cannot be stopped. See my other post above.

CPEC is not attached to the people in power but the state so nothing will stop on that front.

As for IK, It's GAME OVER because security agencies have never taken that letter threat seriously and since the ARMY has much better relations with the US establishment, they must have been conveyed the message the threat is just a bluff. It does however raise the question that the letter does contain the mention of no confidence vote so surely someone is involved from the opposition. PPP is my guess.

It’s not about concessions. It’s about setting a Principle/Precedent
