Clashes between anti-India protesters and police leave dozens hurt in IoK

There will come a day when Pakistani troops will march through occupied Kashmir and the locals will throw rose petals on them.

We have been with them since day 1, given our lives so they can also taste freedom. The love we have for each other is eternal.

Our soldiers will then pray side by side with Kashmiris in the mosques finally putting an end to this madness.

And the best wishful thinking post of the year award goes to... ^^^

no point in reasoning with him ,,he dsnt even know why the clashes took place, he dsnt know that some anti India posters came up ,and a leader was instigating voilence against state,so the clash was between few anti and pro Indians.

Cops should have Opened the barrel of Kalashnikov they were carrying and should have greeted them with Eid Mubarak!

Next week a session of Kashmir will be hold in the General assembly, and the Human Rights Watch ... I blame India for not doing what she was supposed to do to prevent such incidents, otherwise, I can't blame the Kashmiri liberation militias much.

SRINAGAR: Indian forces used tear gas and pellet guns to quell thousands of stone-throwing protesters who took to the streets after special Eid prayers on Friday in the Indian portion of Kashmir.

A police officer said dozens of protesters, police and paramilitary officers were injured in the clashes at several places in Srinagar, the main city in Kashmir. He spoke on condition of anonymity as he was not authorized to talk to reporters.

The protesters chanted “We Want Freedom,” and “Down with India” as they marched through the streets of Srinagar after offering prayers in mosques.

The clashes erupted as thousands of policemen and paramilitary soldiers deployed in the city asked them to disperse.

The injured included 19 police and paramilitary soldiers, said Kishore Prasad, a spokesman for the Central Reserve Police force.

Several separatist leaders had been put under house arrest on Thursday night to stop them from leading the protests on the Eid al-Fitr holiday, which caps the fasting month of Ramadan.

The protests spread to several towns across the Indian portion of Kashmir, with clashes between police and resident reported in the towns of Sopore and Anantnag.

Shops and businesses were closed in the region because of the Eid holidays.

Anti-India feelings run deep in Kashmir, where about a dozen rebel groups have been fighting against Indian rule since 1989. More than 65,000 people, mostly civilians, have been killed.

The rebel groups have largely been suppressed by Indian troops in recent years, and resistance is now principally expressed through street protests.

The Kashmiri insurgents have been fighting for independence from India or merger with Pakistan.

Kashmir is divided between India and Pakistan. They have fought two wars over its control since they won independence from Britain in 1947.

Mushkil se char log hain..hahahahahaha...Extremists does not enjoy that kind of public support as they were in the past. Looks like, much like a 'Photo-Op' to show & convince Arabs & Hafiz Saed/LeT like Pakistani ilks that there is still a support for terrorism and continue receiving money for their bread and butter.

 Nice dope, you are on!

Petals and marching through Kashmir roads and Namaz of Pakistan Army in an Indian Mosque... Haven't you had enough of that phantasizing already? Anyways, dream on, but let me tell you mate, that ain't gonna happen...

I have many friends on this forum with whome i don't see eye to eye on this issue and we still have a debate and out moments of light hearted banter... But, you are at an altogether different level, mate!

Even the die hard fans are slowly turning to say "bahut der kar di meherbaan aate aate" to this wet dream that you have been showing to some separatist elements for the last 25 years now...
