Power houses are producing Electricity our current capacity is 22000 MW the main problem is our Transmission system which cannot even support 15000 MW as Abid Sher Ali said... previous Gov's didn't focus on Transmission lines... No matter what you do you will see circular debt increasing unless you do some work to upgrade previous lines or make new ones... I remember i read that Neelum Jehlum Dam all they focused on is to build a dam not even thought about transmission lines...

power capacity hasn't reached due to circular debt and ongoing switch to coal powered bijli producers.

Also the shortfall is some 5000w. So idk why make more dams instead of fixing current infastructures. Like powerline transmission, which can't be used on over 15gw.
