Cinemas Deserted As Audience Awaits Release Of Indian Films

Indian products & media should not be allowed in Pakistan & they should remain ban for good.

. .
We are not stopping them from coming here we are finally taking steps now that aid our industry instead of outright destroying it
Like Shaan said i am not anti India i am pro Pakistan
Trade should not be mixed with politics hmm what if its one sided opinion?

I did my homework its a one sided equation now do you wish to continue it?

That is the whole point. Remember Afridi slogan? Our hearts are bigger while their is 'blank'. :D

No, Just the boycott of Chinese products. The boycott itself is called made in India.

It's going pretty well. These are just a few examples:

India emerged, after initiation of the programme in 2015 as the top destination globally for foreign direct investment, surpassing the United States of America as well as the People's Republic of China. In 2015, India received US$63 billion in FDI.

Between September 2014 and November 2015, the government received ₹1.20 lakh crore (US$18 billion) worth of proposals from companies interested in manufacturing electronics in India.[9]

24.8% of smartphones shipped in the country in the April–June quarter of 2015 were made in India, up from 19.9% the previous quarter. [10][11][12]

Following Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's visit to India in December 2015, it was announced that Japan would set up a US$12 billion fund for Make in India related projects called the "Japan-India Make-in-India Special Finance Facility".[45] In late December, phone manufacturer Vivo Mobile India began manufacturing smartphones at a plant in Greater Noida. The plant employs 2,200 people.[46]

On 30 November 2015, the Ministry of Railways signed formal agreements with Alstom and GE Transport worth ₹400 billion (US$5.9 billion) to set-up locomotive manufacturing factories in Madhepura and Marhaura in Bihar.[41]

Fawad had a passerby role in this movie. Its a blink and miss role and Pakistanis are getting orgasms at his role in ADHM.

Thanks to the brouhaha, the movie ended up making atleast 100cr.
The amount spent on its production is much higher so it's not really a "hit".

Ppl have rated the movie 2.5.
It's not just about Fawad Khan, the movie didn't have a good storyline.:tsk:

i dont care even if they die, these idiots who invested in this business were aware Pakistan, bharat relation can sour at any moment which can result in Ban on bharti content. yet they invested in cinema business,

Bharti content should never be allowed again in Pakistan..

We dont need indian movies to run in our cinemas people can find other businesses if our industry doesnt have this much potential then to hell with it we have other imp things than filling our cinemas with indian content.

Shaan Shahid Pakistan,s biggest star

Oh is it, I wasn't aware. I didnt remember his name but I have seen his movie Khuda Ke Liye.

Anyway I do think Ranbir will be one of the top stars in Pakistan as he is in India. Or maybe it must be Shahrukh and Salman.

In Pakistan, the number of cinemas is not more then 170. and minus the cinemas of KP. because they do not play Indian or hollywood movies from Day 1. they only play Pashto and Hindko movies.

So the effect is not that huge. 160 cinemas or no cinemas. doesn't matter. Haan agar tadaad 500+ hoti tab...

With paltry 160+ you should aim to increase the theaters into four figures. With 200 million population don't you think that number is very very low???

To give you an idea about how much revenue is generated, just look at number of screens in our neighbourhood.
Indian cinema sells about 1 billion more tickets than hollywood. China sells as many as hollywood.

According to wiki....
India in 2012 had about 12000 single screens and 1200 multiplexes and the numbers are going up every year with new multiplexes cropping up everywhere.
Bangladesh has about 400 screens.
China in 2014 had about 23000 screens and counting.
Pakistan has about 309 screens.

the number of multiplexes in Pakistan rapidly increasing with the LOCAL investment. in previous 5 years around 40 multiplexes were inaugurated.

the 2nd problem is that Pakistan's major population live in rural areas or towns. the number of BIG cities in Pakistan will be not more then 100. provide 5 cinemas to each city still you can't cross 4 digits.

In my opinion, we need 150 multiplexes and 400 cinemas. it will sufficient for our Population. and hope that till 2020 the number of multiplexes will reach 150 digit .

Khan's of Bollywood are more famous in Pakistan then any Ranbir Ranver. But the main craze here is for SRK, because he is from "our soil" . :D

Think of it as a forest got burnt, turned into desert now its being re fertilized in a slow process thats what happened to our industry
You can say that the new Pakistani incustry is barely 3 years old
