First of all,

As I've said many times before; assuming this incident actually took place, the Indian sub was detected twice and forced to surface. A submarine's greatest asset is its stealth and invisibility in the water. Subs are usually at the mercy of surface warships or aircraft once they've been detected; hence, why the sub fled the scene.

Secondly, world-wide opinion was against the U.S. prior/during/after the Invasion of Iraq, did that somehow discourage or prevent them in any way? The thing about the U.N. is that the big 5 can pretty much veto any resolution that they don't like, and the rest of the world can't do a damned thing about it.

I can only laugh at your so-called "pressure" on China. India cannot afford to piss off any of the big 5 if it so desires a place on the SC, and events like this certainly do not contribute to that.

If the purpose of the mission was to gather SIGNIT and ELINT, you do not surface to "show off." These types of missions are extremely clandestine, and the mere fact that it's spreading on the internet means that it was not successful. All sources reporting on this incident point to the fact that both warships pinged the submarine and forced it to surface.

The Kitty Hawk incident was a political statement to show China's displeasure over a CVBG conducting such large naval exercises in China's backyard. The Song slipped pass through layers of defense (it was an entire battlegroup afterall) and surfaced on its own will to send a message.

There was no submarine forced to surface, as said by indian navy. Who is right or wrong? got anu pics? since the news floats around in china/hk why not good evidence. If there were evidence , IN wont reject even if i was a lie.

Why would the INS admit such humiliation incident? Am sure if the story is reversed it would have been all over Indian newspapers too.

Interestingly, Xinhua hasn't reported this incident but the BBC does.

Think PLAN should secure the fire power in South China Sea and East China Sea before venturing to Indian Ocean. Got to make sure Taiwan, some Spratly Islands, and Diaoyu Islands belong to Sino.

Sino already lost Okinawa to Japan long long time ago. Wonder if Sino ever be able to recover that island.
