China is a more technologically advanced country than India.
Chinese trains will obviously be better than Indian trains.
This should have been a "no-brainer."

It should be, Chinese Railway is better than Indian Railways. Cause the CRH trains you see aren't really Chinese.

New Delhi, Jan 18 : While Indian Railways will have to wait a while before it can run bullet trains, it is hoping to increase the speed of its normal trains with some help from China.

China has agreed to assist Indian Railways in order to increase the speed of existing trains as part of a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

The MoU signed between the two countries during Prime Minister Manmohan Singh”s visit to China, earlier during the week will also help in cooperation for development of world-class stations, heavy haul operations, development of multi-modal logistics parks and in research and development.

At present, the highest speed an Indian train has logged so far is 150 km per hour by Shatabdi Express between Delhi and Agra. In China meanwhile, the highest speed recorded is 275 km/hr.

The three-year agreement envisages development of rail-related programmes of mutual interest.

how generous we are, they came to us and begged and we agreed,we shoud rebuff them and left them to their own device,a bullock cart maybe, haha

You may keep talking like that but your country still couldn't afford one.
Mr. We need chinese assistance for making high speed trains,as we have many projects of high speed trains in future..
But the matter is current trains are not too bad to handle and they are cost effective. And our lower middle class people currently can't afford to have a ticket of bullet train. And as they are the main revenue generators of our railway,we have to take time before going for high speed trains..
We have a project in gujarat, maharastra, delhi and karnataka. And it will start in 2015 onwards..

Let me inform you that Japan is already involved in this project with India. But Indian railway still wants assistance from China because of the thing you are mostly known for "Cheap product"..
Japanese tech are bit expensive so we have opt for china..

What can I say,, well done..
THe train being referred to here... Indian Railways, are indeed slower and dirtier but most of the indian population can afford to tavel on it. The cost will be about 2 to 3 dollars. Can most of china travel on the bullet trains? Are all trains in China like the above mentioned bullet trains?

see what you fellow indians comment on the two countries
