While you import Capitalism from west ,with them comes also the evangelists,who will play havoc in china.
Atleast India had a Religion which held its own against others who tried to change the demography and completely convert it.What does china have atheism?
You cannot expect to include only material benefits from west and exclude their religion, it will come as a side effect with the trade.Will china try to stop it?they are trying to do it so far unsuccessfully.
Do they have a answer to it? at present NO they don't!
Their only solution for preserving their way of life in future- would be to revert back to their old religion only then will they be able to withstand the force coming from the west.
Let the chinese think-tanks think whatever they want,in the end we know how it will play out and end.

Hence the proverb as loyal as a dog and it protects the one who owns it.
Dogs are used in all security forces and search and rescue mission, i never saw anyone use cats for security and in war.
