So the Chinese are overtaken the Indian saree market ?

Why talk about sarees, Chinese are making 'Papadoms'. "Chang's Pappadoms" are pretty popular in the super markets here & also most Chinese food stalls here offer Pappadoms (sometimes they even throw it in free of cost to attract customers).

thread is about Sarees...

an argument requires two fools to miserably contribute to a endless war of words with no progress, i don't want to be the other fool in an argument with you.
if you say that Silk is your pattened property then any thing that originated outside China that now is manufactured in China is like stolen knowledge which i myself will not accept.
Again - The topic is not that you are stealing our livelyhood its our Government that is not taking care of us well enough.

protecting you from what? if you aren't implying a crime (which is ridiculous given that you took silk from china - or your anglo-saxon masters did and imposed it upon you to force you to make silk for them), you cannot speak of protection. the rhetoric of protectionism always comes with the cheap, obamese talk of how china has somehow "wronged" americans and indians. neither americans or the indians really got the gut to confront the fact that they just aren't that competitive when compared to chinese, that is, for the same money, they can no longer make the product of the same quality and quantity; they are overpaid, lazy, or stupid. did any of these words appear in the article (or any of the obamese speeches)? no, because indian and american demagogues wanted to cheat and lie to their constituencies to stay in power.

now if we want to address both justice and economic competitiveness, this is what chinese manufacturers have done: some low caste indian manual workers stole the art of silk making from them, but they paid back these indian thieves by making better silk dresses with ever better skills at ever cheaper costs and thus pushed these thieves to the brink of extinction. now that is both justice and economic progress.

The Chinese should takeover the Japanese Kimono market too
Revenge is sweet

Professional trolls on the thread now!!

Another day and the target is good earning!!

Did not know that
Unfortunately the first country that comes to mind on hearing the word Kimono is Japan not China.

Yep, they use our writing system (they call it Kanji, which literally means Han characters), our social structures (Confucianism), our architecture and even basic things like chopsticks.

Kanji - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

But it was our fault for falling behind in the past 200 years, and Japan raced ahead of us in modernization.

We won't fall behind anymore though, now we're catching up quickly. :azn:
