Actually it is Pakistan foreign office fault. When nothing such visit is even discussed they start issuing statements. Even their foreign minister visit is still not finalised. Also we have not heared any such information from Chinese media.

Everything just blown out of proportions. There has been no official statement or confirmation regarding the Chinese President attending the parade. It's just a coincidence that the news of Chinese President's reschedule visit and the Parade taking place came about the same time and people just did 2+2 and assumed all the rest.

The job of the spokesperson is to read out the the given statement. The spokesperson maybe aware of current affairs but their job description prevents them from saying anything but what is given to them in writing.

Don't they take questions from the press? They should be qualified to answer and clarify your govt. policy towards events that are happening in your country and around the world. Similar to White house press secretary.

The spokespersons do take question but they are under clear instructions on what questions to answered and how. First, they use diplomatic language that is anything but clear cut, secondly, they do not comment on questions that exceed their mandate. In the US the same thing happens. It is a press briefing not a talk show.

Pakistan should not have declared that its gonna hold a parade in such haste. Afaik in India, the practise for parade which is held on 26th Jan, starts as early as October.
And the Chinese premier is definitely visiting Pakistan in march, isn't it?
