All we can do is guess but I'm a believer in the mantra: hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
Maybe India has no bad intentions for BD - but it won't be wise to depend on their good nature either.
Yet again we are falling into the thinking that India has all the power here.
Not so as BD has enough strength in this relationship to make India regret any hostile acts.
As an example, power imports with Nepal/Bhutan will line up India against the interests of BD,Nepal and Bhutan and if they stop the power and they annoy 3 of their neighbours. The "Dragon" is waiting over the Himalayas to take advantage.
I think this line of thinking comes from a lack of confidence in BD abilities and overconfidence in India's strength. BD is relatively a lot more powerful over India than a lot of people here seem to think.
Without a strong and prosperous BD as the economic engine, then the whole region will stay poor and backward.
