China's auto sales in 2018 is over 28 million, over 23 million of which are passenger cars. Approximately half of the sales comes from Chinese car companies, that is around 14 million, which is a huge number. Due to this tremendous demands from the domestic market, Chinese car companies have not pay much attention to the global market, with the export figure of cars from Chinese automakers standing at around 1 million for the past few years. This begins to change recently as we can see Chinese automakers accelerate their exploration of overseas market by setting up more and more factories overseas or by taking over local brand to gain the market (e.g., Geely acquired Proton, and is selling Geely cars under Proton brand). We can predict that the era of Chinese car companies conquering the global market is arriving. Now let's take a look at the presence of Chinese cars around the globe.

To be continued.

Actually 70% of total world investment for future electric cars was in China alone

Future is electric for cars
It has many advantages, no moving parts except motor and wheels, no lubricants at all, minute maintenance comparative to gasoline cars

China with next few years, in electric Cars would be a giant having biggest battery productivity

In other ASEAN countries, various Chinese brands such as Zotye, BAIC, MG (British in origin, owned by SAIC), JAC, and BYD etc.have some presence:

Part II: Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa
Around 5 years ago, Great Wall Motors was once a major player in the Australian ute (pick-up truck) market, later the sells declined due to some reason, and today, various Chinese brands (LDV, MG, Great Wall+Haval, Foton, etc) sell around 1,500 vehicle per month in Australia, a few hundreds in New Zealand. Notably, Haval sold ~800 per month in South Africa
