The more interesting one is that Chinese EMALS onboard CVBG-18 would use a more Advanced & much more Reliable MVDC (Medium Voltage, Direct Current), unlike US troubled EMALS onboard ford class that using older MVAC (Medium Voltage, Alternate Current)

A nice comparison. Type 003 is much bigger in tonnage but the island is becoming significantly smaller, the size cut by almost half.
