China's orders for Russian weapons tops $8 bln - FSMTC

SU-30MKK and SU-30MK2 are wired for Russian weapons only. So are early batch of SU-27SK/UBK.

As long as these aircraft are in service, China will continue to buy Russian AAM and ASM to equip them.

And possibly SU-35 too might be wired for Russian weapons only.
Exactly.

To the Su-35 contract, anyone noticed it will find it took so a long time with a rumor that deal was cancelled.

The fact is there are too burden in the way of the Su-35 deal.
First, China only wanted 4 jets but Russia can not accept it;
Second, China provided a series requirement of features of Su-35, aiming at China weapon system could access to Su-35 and China could improve its hardware and software to an extent when needed in future, and Russia didn't agree too.

Both sides negotiated round and round.
In a time, it went to a stalemate.

At last, China and Russia made a compromise by 24 Su-35 and China's customization.

That's not entirely correct. There have been reports on integrating Chinese systems onto the MKK/MK2-family of Flankers and at least we know several MKK carrying the new KG600 ECM-pod and MK2 have been spotted wit PL-12 AAMs. So IMO it is not unlikely that other Chinese weapons will be installed in the future too if they are not already.

Right, right, so there is no need for some Indian members here to ever feel belittled by the dependency issues on the weaponry importation... see China is also still importing, so basically the two largest population are in the same league. This fact alone will make India on par with China in the development stage.

I hope above lines will appease your anxiety if any and instead will prop your self-confidence :coffee:

'Ignorance is bliss, reality is not.'
If this new will make you feel better , just think as you think.

Any sane person will know only 24 Su-35s for such a huge air force as PLAAF mean nothing.
At first, China only wanted 4 Su-35.
China prefer to buy AL-41 rather the jet.

As for S-400, no one knows how good on earth it is until the Syrian attack.

China would like to pursue robust and tested weapon system rather than something untested with just a paper of descriptions of specification.

Su-35 and S-400 deal is a creature of international politics.

Russia need money, China must buy something to support Russia.

China has inked a deal with Russia of oil supply for dozens of years.
You really think China did the deal just due the need of oil ?

Weapon deals alway link to politics.

Yes, I noticed that too. Either the Chinese had broke the source code or the Russians had cooperated with allowing modification of the source code for Chinese weapons and sensors to be carried by these aircraft.

Russia has traditionally supplied aviation equipment to China and the potential of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the aviation sector is great.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian Helicopters company discussed with Chinese partners possible deliveries of Mi-26TS heavy transport helicopters, the company’s press service said Friday in a statement.

"During talks with Lectern Aviation Supplies Company, the prospects for supply of Mi-26TS heavy helicopters to China were discussed," the statement reads.

In addition, the company discussed the possibility of supplying medical version of Ansat helicopter to Beijing 999 Emergency Rescue Center.

The Mi-26TS was developed by the Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and is produced by the Rostvertol plant located in Rostov-on-Don. The aircraft has a total payload of 20 metric tons and is equipped with modern electronic systems.
