No, being underpowered is a huge deal for SSN. It allows the faster sub to dictate when and where to engage, as well as slipping away when the odds aren't favourable. Even if you detect the enemy sub, there is nothing you can do against it if you're significantly slower. The slower SSN does not have the same option. There is a reason that navies kept on trying to increase the underwater speed and diving depth of their SSNs.

All modern Chinese SSNs are quite fast and can easily outrun those 30 knots destroyers.

But the only problem to deal is to significantly reduce the noise level when you are at the full speed.

I think China now has insignificantly improved over this issue, that's why the SSN is now mass produced, and it is very likely that a second production line will be opened at the Jiangnan shipyard.

Yup, piggybacking on US is what he's good at. We can launch rockets/satelites, is on the way building our own space station, already send Chinese into space. We are market leaders in exporting electric cars/busses, we have HSR, we have large market shares in smartphones and dominate the drone market. What does UK have? For god sake we have more warship and subs than the British Navy. The guy has the nerve to talk about about HK. Mao allowed HK to be ruled under the British after the end of WW2, we could have gotten it back earlier. Well in the end it worked out well because it didn't suffer under the bad economic policy of China during those harsh years. But when Thatcher wanted to keep on ruling HK, she was taught a lesson never to be forgotten. The British military were crapping in their pants and told her it's not wise to start a war with China after what happened in the Korean and Vietnam War.

Can members here give me a list of the known current inventory of Chinese nuclear submarines, ie hunters and ballistic subs?
Reason, i hear a lot about developments in Chinese nuclear subs, but i don't see any details of new subs being added.
We know that 1 or 2 of the older Han class 091 subs have been retired............but how many of the 093 class are actually in service?............and is the 095 class being built now?..........and if so what are the expected numbers?

And Mike here claims Great Britain voluntarily gave HK back to China. He doesn't even know sh!t and needs Chinese to teach him what really happened on that day. He wants us to feel humiliated because HK was leased to UK, but like i said after WW2 England was in ruin and if Mao had wanted we could have taken HK and Macao back but for some reason he didn't do it. In the end all well ends well because HK and Macao were spared from the disastrous economic policies. Thatcher thought UK could keep ruling HK after the Falkland War, how naive. Her military adviser told her China is not Argentina and after what happened in the Korean/Vietnam War it is no surprise the UK military is crapping in her pants thus didn't dare move a finger at us. Mike should learn to be humble like english man, this dude i like . He at least shows respect to our rising power and not troll like a wacko

Thanks......just to confirm, the British people have absolutely no problem with China (we are not like the Americans).....ive never met a British person who derides China, in fact we are hoping to do more trade with China in the future.
I've been to China, and was pleasantly surprised at the warm hospitality that was shown to me by the Chinese people i met on my trip.

Type 093: 6-10 it depends
Type 094: 6-8 it depends
Type 095: 1 under the sea trial???
Type 096: 1 under the construction???

Not talking about the backlash against Mikey, I think the Type 093B is comparable with the Astute class, just like how the Type 052C/D is to the Type 45.

But only Mikey got problem to accept that, since in his mind, China is still a third world sh1thole who can never build anything similar to the Great Britain.
