Yes I was thinking of the 737 and the A319. The point is that MRJ will have a niche in the aerospace field , as with Bombardier, we even supply most of their goods, so even if they compete with MRJ, we benefit from their success. LOL!

Comac kicks off ARJ21 route-proving trials

Comac has started a six-month route-proving campaign for its ARJ21-700, as the programme gears towards the delivery of the first aircraft to launch customer Chengdu Airlines.

On 16 March, the airframer conducted a flight on the Shanghai-Tianjin route, carrying company executives and members of the local media onboard.

Nantong Xindong airport and Chengdu Shuangliu International airport are the two bases for the route-proving flights. Comac says services will be operated from the bases to Tianjin, Beijing, Wuhan, Nanjing, Fuzhou, Guiyang and Changsa, to simulate typical routes that the type will operate.

The flights are necessary to ensure that all systems on the aircraft can work together in real time safely. It will also help Chengdu Airllines’ flight crew become familiarised with the flight manual and its cabin crew with flight training, in preparation for formal delivery.

ICBC Financial Leasing earlier this month became the latest customer to commit to the indigenous chinese aircraft, with a purchase agreement for 30 of the jets. The ARJ21 received type certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China on 30 December 2014.

I would not use the "nose picker" finger as it spazzes out after hours of rivetting. You can do some serious damage to the skin when that happens. I would use the "bad" finger to pull the trigger

Hahaha I guess our guys know when to relax during regular breaks during that time they are at liberty to pick noses

Dont get mixed up between technicians and gun bearers. Firearms are strictly prohibited in China for civilians unlike in USA where toddlers while picking their noses, can pull triggers at their parents, sibblings or friends (pun intended!)

But sure robotic assembly is our next step when the models are ready for mass production

The opening meeting of ARJ21-700 Production Certification Board (PCB) was held in Shanghai on April 24th, 2015, which indicates the initiation of airworthiness certification of ARJ21-700 Production Certificate (PC).

The aim of PC certification is to conduct repeated, high-quality, stable and reliable production under the supervision of Authority in accordance with the type design approved by Authority. This is an important link for the program to progress from successful development to batch production, and is the only way to achieve commercial success.
