Kindly understand that the US built its first stealth bomber F117 based on a paper submitted by a Soviet Mathematician and most of the US success came from using knowledge from the people of the rest of the world, but as far as Russia is considered they have everything indigenous and as far as China is considered, she has scientist who are fast learners and are enthusiastic in experimenting with the understanding of what they have learned from the Russians and even one day outperform the Russians. I seriously don't think you have any thing to be proud of, China has 6 trillion economy not because of innovation(U.S.), revelounzing technology(France & U.S.)... BECAUSE CHINA HAD PEOPLE THAT WOULD WORK UNDER 15 cents a day to make toys and nike shoes... China is no innovator, China is grew because the state local gov built and built millions of unoccupied commerical malls and apartments which simply dont have any demand... China grew because it had a pain stakinging tolerant labor force, the dirty jobs... Atleast Indians are respectfull and earned white collar jobs in IT, software design, database admins, programmers...

And what about our own country, we have the most corrupt and self centered leaders at hand, we have the most scams of modern times. we are receding towards a recession as the Market is falling.

I do understand and have Ufimtsev's text book in my little library. You are wrong. Ufimtsev's work was not a 'cookbook' of any sort on 'stealth'. It does not say: do X if you want to lower RCS. It simply outline how EM waves behave on surfaces and edges.

You speak as if the Soviets did not looked at Ufimtsev's work. They did and they dismissed it as having no military value. Ufimtsev's work was actually nothing new. The behavior of EM waves on surfaces and edges have been well known. The SR-71 had a lot of 'stealth' feature. What Ufimtsev did was mathematically formalized those behaviors and the Soviets failed to recognize its military potential. The engineers at Lockheed did not.

Bapreay!! you have to understand that the F117 is a ultimate stealth plane no doubt on it, but that is not the derivative for the PAK FA or the J20. these two planes are designed for minimal radar cross section and not to evade radar by deflecting the radar waves as the F117 does. and also when it comes to dog fight F117 is a sitting duck, PAK FA and J20 are designed for high speed and maneuverability just like the F22 raptor.
